Questions about how the similarities between Krishna and Jesus could be a coincidence and whether there's any proof to substantiate the idea that Jesus studied Buddhism during his “missing years.”   How could the similarities between the Krishna story and the Jesus story (e.g., a star at his birth, his father traveling to pay taxes, a transfiguration, etc.) be a coincidence? Is there any proof to substantiate the idea that Jesus studied Buddhism during his “missing years”?

In this episode, Kevin explores the dynamic interplay between external forces and inner authority, weaving together analogies, spiritual teachings, and practical frameworks for conscious living. At the heart of the discussion lies a question that shapes every life decision: when do we row with effort and willpower, and when do we sail by allowing the currents of the universe to carry us?Kevin begins by comparing life's unfolding to a journey across an ocean scattered with islands representing career, spirituality, and love. The winds and currents - the neutrino field, planetary alignments, and the larger movements of the cosmos - direct us toward certain destinations at different times. While these external influences shape the trajectory, individuals retain the power of choice, the ability to pick up the oar and row toward desires, even when currents seem to be guiding elsewhere.Through the lens of astrology, human design, and conscious manifestation, Kevin explains that these frameworks are not in conflict but complementary. The spiritual blueprint, informed by cosmic movements, offers insight into where energy is naturally flowing. Consciousness, however, is the muscle that strengthens through practice, meditation, and intentional thought. The more one rows with awareness, the more powerful that faculty becomes, enabling greater influence over direction and outcome. The conversation moves deeper into spiritual history, drawing parallels with the teachings of mystics like Krishna, Buddha, and Jesus. Kevin emphasizes that the essence of their message was not external authority, but inner authority - the divine spark within each person. The revolutionary truth they shared was that no religion, government, or system outside of the self is needed to discover truth or live righteously. Over time, however, these teachings were co-opted by institutions, distorting their original intent.Throughout the episode, Kevin highlights the balance between surrender and effort. To only row without awareness of the currents is to risk exhaustion or misdirection, while to only sail without ever rowing is to be carried far from one's deepest desires. Wisdom lies in discerning when to act and when to allow. This discernment requires self-knowledge, the ability to “know yourself,” as the Oracle of Delphi instructed, and as mystics across traditions have echoed.By integrating the frameworks of cosmic influence and conscious thought, Kevin argues that individuals become unstoppable. Recognizing the currents as truth, and simultaneously embracing the power to shape reality through consciousness, creates a unified approach to life. It is not either/or, but both/and - an alignment of external flow with internal authority.Closing with an invitation for reflection, Kevin asks listeners to consider what feels most “alpha” to them, even through music, as a way of understanding how each person defines strength, energy, and authenticity. The episode encourages men to elevate their awareness, practice conscious thought, and embrace the truth that the ultimate authority lies within. This is not only a lesson in spiritual frameworks, but a call to reclaim personal sovereignty and live with both alignment and intention.

Everything matters, and especially what matters is our personal touch, the personal touch in general, and also our extending ourselves personally. We are persons. I thought about that this morning; I felt kind of enlivened. I was woken up. I was thinking, "What's going on?" And I looked at myself in the mirror and I go, "What's going on is you are a person, and therefore you can recognize that you are a person." I was looking at myself, and I knew, like, "Yeah, I am a person." And I was kind of— Wait a minute. I'm the one thinking that I'm looking, and that's why I thought of that whole train of thought this morning. There's responsibility in personhood. You can't just merge into the—well, you can—you can merge into the world of other people's control, the mind's control, your senses' control. Just give in to that. Or you can realize, "I'm the person. I can do things." And also, people only respond, ultimately, to the personal touch, that if we have sincerity in our heart, and we have—we're buoyed by Jñāna-tapas and we have Śraddhā in our hearts, and that means also empathy for others. ātmaupamyena sarvatra samaṁ paśyati yo 'rjuna sukhaṁ vā yadi vā duḥkhaṁ sa yogī paramo mataḥ (BG 6.32) Kṛṣṇa says the yogī is the one who's had experience in the world and knows what everyone is going through because he or she's been through it herself, and therefore, when seeing other people, is not judgmental, so to speak, but empathetic, compassionate. And it's that personal touch that moves the heart of another person, and that's what Bhagavad Āśraya Prabhu said yesterday: "Our movements about love," a very personal thing, "love and trust." If we don't have that, then we have some external proceeding that may not fulfill our heart's desire. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

The best way is to, as Prabhupada said, train your eyes to spot offenses and take the ten offenses as very important. Don't take it as rote, that it's something we recite early in the morning before we start chanting. Instead, look into it and see how you can integrate those prohibitions into your lifestyle. And that's the only blockade between us and śuddha-nāma. As Bhaktivinoda points out in the Harir Nāma Cintāmaṇi, there are clouds and mist that block us from getting the full effect of the holy name. Those come in the form of aparādhas. Apa- rādha means we're not worshiping properly; we're making some offense. So, there are offenses to the holy name, offenses to devotees, and offenses in worshiping Krishna. If we study these very carefully and practice avoiding them as much as possible, then we move very quickly into the nāmābhāsa stage. In fact, just the endeavor to remove offenses means that we are in nāmābhāsa. When we're not, when we don't care for the offenses—in other words, we're not thinking about it, we're just chanting and we don't attend to the offenses, meaning we don't try to remove them, we are not vigilant—then we are a nāmāparādha. So, cultivate those and try to vigilantly avoid them. Then the holy name starts shining through much more quickly, and we can rise to the point of śuddha-nāma by that process: chanting and avoiding offenses. This is confirmed by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, who says it's not just chanting Hare Krishna through which we attain perfection, but it's chanting Hare Krishna and avoiding the offenses at the same time. Of course, if one is offensive and you don't know how to avoid offenses, then the Padma Purāṇa says: nāmāparādha-yuktānāṁ nāmāny eva haranty agham aviśrānti-prayuktāni tāny evārtha-karāṇi ca Then, just chant non-stop. Don't stop chanting so that your mouth says some offensive thing. Just keep chanting and don't stop, and then you'll develop the intelligence to avoid offenses. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehappy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Most people's activities are impelled by the force of karma. We are forced to take birth, and what is the other end of that? If we're forced to take birth, then what comes after that? (Sorry to bring it up, I know it's a family show). We also are forced to die, and we don't know when. But Krishna appears by his own sweet will. This is one of the main truths of Janmashtami to understand. Why is it important? 'Janma karma ca me divyam evaṁ yo vetti tattvataḥ.' Now here comes the most important part. Are you ready for the most important part of the verse? 'Tyaktvā dehaṁ punar janma naiti mām eti so 'rjuna.' Krishna says, "If you're able to understand this science of God, that God's not an ordinary person. He enters the world, not like us by force. He leaves the world, not by force like us, but that his activities are divyam, transcendental." He says, "tyaktvā deham." Deham means this body. We all have a body, right? And tyaktvā means "at some point we have to give it up." 'Tyaktvā dehaṁ punar janma naiti.' That means when you leave this body, if you become fully cognizant of God and your relationship with God in this lifetime, you have come to the perfection of human life, and therefore you don't have to take birth again. Because this universe is a classroom. It's for all of us to refine ourselves. And what is the ultimate refinement? It is to reawaken our relationship with Bhagavan. Every single living entity has an eternal relationship with God, and when we are estranged from that relationship, then we feel fear because we think that we are independent or separated. We struggle here in this world to understand our nature, and we have existential angst about our own existence, and we are threatened by non-existence. But when we understand that we are co-eternal with the supreme, Krishna exists eternally. And just like the sun has its sun rays, we are part and parcel of Kṛṣṇa. He says in the Bhagavad Gita, "Mamaivāṁśo jīva-loke jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ manaḥ-ṣaṣṭhānīndriyāṇi prakṛti-sthāni karṣati"—that every living being is a spark of God, of God's energy. God is like the sun, and we're like the sun rays. Simultaneously one, but different from the Supreme. He is supremely independent and all-powerful, and we're minutely independent and we are not all-powerful. I'm glad somebody regularly reminds me of that. So Krishna says (BG 4.9), janma karma ca me divyam evaṁ yo vetti tattvataḥ tyaktvā dehaṁ punar janma naiti mām eti so 'rjuna Okay, who's Kṛṣṇa speaking to in the Bhagavad Gita? (Audience: Arjuna) He says, "Dear Arjuna, if anyone can understand the truth of my appearance in the world and my activities, it's not ordinary, it's divyam. Then they don't have to take birth again here in this material world." So Janmashtami is a celebration of this event, but it's not an yearly event. It's an event that is happening at every moment, if that even makes logical sense. The fact is that Krishna is within the heart of all of us, and he is guiding our movements, giving us intelligence. In the Bhagavad Gita, 15th Chapter (BG 15.15), Kṛṣṇa says, sarvasya cāhaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaṁ ca vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo vedānta-kṛd veda-vid eva cāham I'm in the heart of every living being, giving knowledge, remembrance and even forgetfulness and so on. So on Janamashtmi we can remember that Krishna is in our heart. He's in the heart of every living being. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------

The crane's superpower is focus, 'cuz fish are fickle and they come and go very quickly. And you have to, in order to observe them, wait until they come near. So, the crane is able to stand and wait and focus and keep his or her mind on the task at hand, which is to catch a fish. So, this is one of the tenets of raising the mind to sattva, or the higher mode of nature, is to practice focus. There's focus, and I'm giving the antithesis as distraction. And the statement as a reminder that "focus is nectar and distraction is torture." Patañjali Muni, in his book called the Yoga Sūtras, goes into the details of the human mind and the states of mind one may achieve through practice of focus. And he describes how there's a hierarchy of states of mind, five in all. He gives these five categories. The lower three are non-productive. Have you ever been in a state of mind where you noticed that you weren't being productive, or you sensed you weren't being productive, that your mind might be absorbed in randomness? That's an interesting, almost contradictory in terms, because we say "absorbed," the mind's absorbed in something, it might indicate focus. But if I'm focusing on randomness, then I may not be completely focused. So, the higher states of mind have to do with absorption in a specific subject, and also what's called samādhi, or one becomes one-minded with that object. And this is one of the practices of meditation: to find the ultimate object of meditation and learn how to bring the mind back to it. And Krishna talks about this in the Bhagavad Gītā in the sixth chapter. For those of you who are familiar with the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā, it's about dhyāna. Dhyāna comes from the Sanskrit word dhī, which means to be able to focus the mind in one place and become absorbed in it. And to achieve that, Krishna says in the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā, one has to learn how to again and again bring the mind back to one-pointedness. And just as when we practice some physical activity again and again, we get better at it, similarly, the mind has neuroplasticity; it can also develop what might seem as a parallel to muscle memory. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #successsadhana #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Lord Caitanya said 'devotee Vaidya.' The Vaishnava, is a doctor. Doctors got a little black bag. Doctors used to make home calls, and Lord Chaitanya says, 'What does he have in that little bag?' That little black bag? The doctor, the Vaishnava doctor, has hymns and instructions—two things to cure the disease of Maya. And it requires this personal touch. Somebody's going to knock on the door. Otherwise, what are they going to do? I'll give you one guess what they're going to do. It starts with an 'S' and ends with two 'L's: Everyone's scrolling! Used to be watching television, but now it's just scrolling. Nobody's doing anything but scrolling. That's why people can't pass a budget. That's why people can't get along. They're too busy scrolling. So, until we knock on the door and say, 'Hare Krishna, and here, please, please be our friend.Radha Krishna bolo, Sange Cholo, ei matra bhikha chai. Our bhikha is only asking people, 'Why don't you just come and chant Hare Krishna with us?' Because you can't have any more fun than we're having in the Krishna conscious movement. It's impossible, because this is the spiritual world. It's just flat-out fun to be with devotees, to chant Hare Krishna, to read Bhagavad Gita. This is the real life. Everything else is a wanna-be life, and it just isn't working. So Krishna again and again gives opportunity, and his touch is very personal. It's one point I'd like to make today: everything's personal. And I'm charmed, frankly charmed, when I read in the Second Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam, 'kare spṛśan,' which means that Krishna shook Brahma's hand and he said, 'Bhadram te -Good luck, Brahma.' "See, that feels good. Everyone wants to do that. If we go in sankirtan, if you're on a road with busy traffic and you see somebody on the other side of the street and you go like this (shows a fist bump), they'll cross traffic, risking life and limb of being run over just to do this, because everyone's missing that. They don't have the personal touch. They want somebody to reach out to them and say, 'Oh, please, touch my soul. Touch my heart.' They can't get it in the material world because everyone's busy with themselves, being frustrated again and again in the love that's professed here. Maybe there's a glimmer, but we can't hold it. People are looking for that deep, loving exchange with Suhrit, their old friend, Krishna. So when Krishna starts the Sampradaya, he puts his good will into it. He speaks to Brahma; he shakes Brahma's hand. He tells him, 'Good luck with making this creation and also passing down the knowledge so that people can take it,' and it's an unbroken line of discipline succession. There are detours, but it's an eternal message that comes down, and Srila Vyasadeva helps to put it into order so that we can take advantage of it and distribute it to others. So we have a lifetime—or many lifetimes—of service, it's an eternal service to enter into that. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------

There is also a saying that it's impossible to understand the mindset of a pure devotee, so there is not always an exact, clear answer. And one of the ways the Bhagavatam also teaches us is because when do you ever get a completely clear answer when you're making decisions absolutely this and not that? Maybe when it's "take the Krishna consciousness," but then come all kinds of other decisions: Should I go back to school? Should I get a job and do Krishna consciousness? Should I get married, or should I just be a Brahmachari? It goes on constantly until the time of death. And at the time of death, you're thinking, "Okay, these people from Delhi say they have some new cure. Should I take it, or should I just settle into leaving my body?" And as long as we are in the material world, there's a complication. Even if you are a pure devotee, it's not always straightforward that, like, I understand how everything works, and there's some idea that there are no decisions to make, or that they're clear-cut. There's a little ambiguity involved, even for the pure devotees. Prabhupada says, "When he had taken sannyas and he was walking along in a village, he got to watch out for cows, because if you get too close, you think, 'Oh, what a nice cow,' and they swing their heads. They swing for the fences. And if there's a horn there, it can slam you." I saw it right in front of me one day. I was standing out here, and some man was, you know, like, "nicey-nicey" with the cow, and she just swung and slammed him right in the belly. He was down. They had to call the ambulance. And it happened to Prabhupada right after he took sannyas, and Prabhupada says in a lecture that he was hit by a cow like that, and that he said when he hit the footpath and he was lying there, he said, "Krishna, what is this? I just took Sannyas. Now what happened?" So, I bring that up as a point that you may say, "Okay, in the life of a pure devotee..," Prabhupada is a pure devotee, and he mentions in an assembly of devotees that "Krishna dismantled everything. He took away everything I had," and the devotees had a lighthearted response to it because they thought, "Well, what's it to you? You're a pure devotee. What do you care?" Because they only saw him as a paramahamsa in that stage of his life. But then Prabhupada retorted that, "No, when Krishna takes away everything, you become very morose." So Dhruva Maharaja is a pure devotee, but he's young. He hasn't gone through his whole life. And there are various ways in which you maneuver in the material world, even as a pure devotee. So that's part of the beauty of the Bhagavatam—that it's got nuance, it's subtle, and it's relatable also. And we can see that, yeah, pure devotees go through stuff, and when you go through something, and then you think of Dhruv Maharaja, and you think of him, "Yes, this, but then no, I shouldn't do it," then come back. Then you can understand that that's the way to make it through the world: is to constantly be coming back to the center. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------

So he (Lord Brahmā) says, "jñāne prayāsam udapāsya namanta eva jīvanti san-mukharitāṁ bhavadīya-vārtām." Jīvanti means "to live"—if all you do is somehow or other stay alive. Jīvanti san-mukharitāṁ, just so you can attend the Bhāgavatam class, that's all you do. What do you do? Just try to stay alive all day long so the next day I can go to the Bhāgavatam class. That's all you do. "Yeah, that's all I do." Brahma says, "That's alright, jīvanti san-mukharitāṁ bhavadīya-vārtām," because by doing that—in whatever position you're in now—you don't have to change anything. It'll change from the inside out. "Sthāne sthitaḥ śruti-gataṁ tanu-vāṅ-manobhiḥ," because if that's your dedication, just to hear about Krishna, then ajita—jito—the unconquerable Ajita, becomes conquered by that person, praṇaya-rasanayā. They begin to love Kṛṣṇa so much just by hearing about him. That was the case with Rukmiṇī Devī. She never saw Kṛṣṇa, but she wrote this letter, "yasyāṅghri-paṅkaja-rajaḥ-snapanaṁ mahānto vāñchanty umā-patir ivātma-tamo-'pahatyai yarhy ambujākṣa na labheya bhavat-prasādaṁ jahyām asūn vrata-kṛśān śata-janmabhiḥ syāt" (SB 10.52.43) She never met Kṛṣṇa, but she heard about him in the court of her father. She's a princess, so they were talking about Kṛṣṇa. It's said the more she heard about it, it was like, "That's who I'm going to marry. I'm going to marry him." And she was so determined that she wrote this note to Kṛṣṇa and sent it to him. It was like, "Look, you marry me, or I'm going to kill myself through austerities." That's what this verse says. "Yasyāṅghri-rajaḥ-snapanaṁ mahanto" says, "Great souls like Lord Shiva, they purify themselves by taking the dust of Your lotus feet and putting them on their heads." She said, "If I cannot attain your mercy, I'm going to perform such severe austerities that I'll be forced to give up my life. And then maybe, after many lifetimes of doing this, you'll give me your mercy and marry me." All she did was hear about it. And then the wives of the brāhmaṇas—all they did was hear about Kṛṣṇa from the marketplace. They went to the weekend market. What's that called? A farmers' market. They went to the farmers' market, and they were buying ingredients to assist their husbands in these yajñas. And there were some residents of Vṛndāvan there, and they were like, "Kṛṣṇa, this... Kṛṣṇa, that..."—Kṛṣṇa-kathā going on in the marketplace. They heard it. They overheard it. They discussed it. They fell in love with Kṛṣṇa, so much so that they're exalted way above their husbands. It's way above this so-called Brāhmaṇism, performing yajnas. It becomes a fact that one understands everything by Kṛṣṇa-kathā. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #prabhupadapicks #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna

What you hold in your mind shapes you. In this episode, Raghunath and Kaustubha explore Marshall McLuhan's famous line—“We become what we behold”—and connect it with Krishna's teachings in the Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Do we let random media and impulses shape us, or do we consciously adopt tools that align with who we want to become? From the media-is-the-message to Bhāgavatam 10.12, we enter Aghāsura's cavernous “cave,” watch Krishna rescue His friends, liberate the demon, and trigger a celestial celebration. Along the way: fearlessness vs. recklessness, why a morning program beats doom-scrolling, and how bringing Krishna into the heart quietly lowers the temperature on everyday panic. Key Highlights * McLuhan meets the Gītā: how tools and habits carve our destiny * The cowherd boys' fearless joy vs. reckless “No Fear” bravado * Aghāsura decoded: envy, anxiety, and Krishna's liberating touch * Why a crafted morning program beats algorithmic autopilot * Celestial fireworks—demigods, Gandharvas, and Brahmā's astonishment A practical, provocative look at how the tools we choose today determine the lives we live tomorrow.

In the second part of our conversation, we talk about what Krishna is doing now and the lasting impact she is making. After an impressive career as a thrower and coach, she found women's tackle football and made her way to the U.S. national team. She represented our country on the biggest stage, won a gold medal at the World Championships, and then shifted into leadership as the general manager of the Kansas City Glory. Krishna explains the unique challenges of building women's sports, from managing operations to supporting athletes, and how her role is about more than wins and losses. It is about creating opportunities and a foundation for future generations. What inspires me most is how she continues to use her voice and experience to help others. Through public speaking, youth coaching, and mentoring, Krishna is showing athletes and professionals the importance of setting goals, living by your values, and approaching challenges with a growth mindset. Her story proves that the lessons you learn in sport prepare you for every arena in life. This part of the conversation is about leadership, vision, and the responsibility we all have to invest in the people coming after us.

When debate turnsviolent, yogis reach for higher tools—not more gasoline. In this episode, Raghunath and Kaustubha reflect on the rising culture of outrage and political violence, using the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk as a moment to pause and ask: how can we disagree without dehumanizing? Drawing from Śrī Caitanya's example of gentle but powerful debate, and the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam's accounts of Krishna's childhood pastimes, they explore practical bhakti principles that can steady the heart even when the world feels unstable. Key Highlights * The provocateur trap: why inflammatory speech breeds more chaos * Five takeaways for disagreeing without division * Respectful courage vs. performative outrage * Debate as Lord Caitanya modeled it: correction without humiliation * Krishna's butter-boy pastimes as an anchor of joy amid chaos If you're tired of the outrage algorithm but still care deeply about truth, this conversation offers a better toolkit—one rooted in bhakti.
