When the rich young ruler approached Jesus, everything seemed promising. But Jesus saw beneath the surface, to some detrimental misunderstandings within the heart of this seeker. The rich young ruler clearly misunderstood what makes someone good, everyone's need for the gospel, and of what eternal life consisted. The rich young ruler was seeking Christ, but as a selfish seeker, and not a genuine seeker. So, why are you seeking Christ?
