In this message, Pastor R. Bret Walker explores what made the early believers in Acts 2 a truly united church. They “devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching… the fellowship… the breaking of bread and the prayers,” a pattern that shaped their shared life and mission. Their generosity, joy, worship, and mutual care led to “favor with all the people,” and as a result, “the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” The sermon challenges today's church to reclaim this unity through teaching, fellowship, prayer, generosity, and praise. #GuerrillaChristianity #UnitedChurch #BookOfActs #ApostlesTeaching #ChristianFellowship #BreakingBread #PrayingChurch #GenerousHearts #EarlyChurchModel #PastorRBretWalker
Fr. Spitzer and Doug Keck discuss how Jesus invested definitive teaching authority in Peter and his successors in order to address potential divisions He saw within the Church.
Guerrilla Christianity – “The Baptizing Church” Pastor R. Bret Walker explores Acts 2 and the early church's explosive growth as a baptizing church. Peter's call to “Repent and be baptized… for the forgiveness of your sins” becomes the heart of the message, showing baptism as a means of grace and a sign of God's claim on his people. The sermon urges believers to embrace repentance, proclaim Christ boldly, and invite others into the life of faith. As Bret reminds us, the promise is “for you and for your children and for all who are far off,” and the mission continues today. #GuerrillaChristianity #BaptizingChurch #BookOfActs #RepentAndBeBaptized #HolySpiritPower #EarlyChurchGrowth #MeansOfGrace #PentecostMessage #MakeDisciples #PastorRBretWalker
Pastor R. Bret Walker launches a new series, The Early Church: Lessons from the Book of Acts, by exploring Acts 2 and the bold witness of Peter at Pentecost. This episode, The Witnessing Church, calls believers to embrace the same Spirit‑empowered mission: proclaiming what Christ has done, sharing personal testimony, and moving from merely welcoming to actively inviting others to faith. The early church grew through courageous witness — and we are called to do the same today. #GuerrillaChristianity #EarlyChurch #BookOfActs #Pentecost #WitnessingChurch #PeterSermon #HolySpiritPower #MakeDisciples #ChristianTestimony #PastorRBretWalker
In this Church on the Move Roswell message, Pastor Troy Smothermon speaks about being a “church on fire,” contrasting religion with a transformative relationship with Jesus that gives purpose beyond oneself. Using Psalm 67:1–2, he explains that God's mercy and blessing are meant to shine through believers so others can know His way and find salvation. He recounts the Welsh Revival as an example of prayer and fasting igniting widespread spiritual change and urges the church not to become lukewarm or let the flame go out like churches that became museums. Citing Mark 16:15, Luke 19:10, Acts 1:8, and Acts 2, he emphasizes the Holy Spirit's power to make believers bold witnesses, calls for praying and fasting for the lost, shares personal testimonies of evangelism, and ends with an invitation to surrender to Jesus in prayer.
This is part two of a two part message on spiritual gifts in our series on the Holy Spirit. We are learning who the Holy Spirit is, what it means to be in relationship with Him, and how His power is at work in us and through us.

Jen Pedersen:- This House Pt. 16 : Why Church? Pt. 1: Family https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WUuUZe9PeG4s6qoN2UZaSouoXYP9b3Cf/view?usp=sharing Living for God is described as an embodied life lived with others in the body of Christ, rather than a life of individualism or solitude.2 Community of the Kingdom: The Church is defined as a community created by and submitted to God's rule, entrusted with demonstrating and proclaiming that rule.3 Redefining Family: Referencing Mark 3:31-35, the text highlights Jesus' teaching that those who do God's will are his true brothers, sisters, and mother.4 Practices and Limits: The document notes that humans are not limitless and emphasizes practices such as eating together and loving one another completely
In this Church on the Move Roswell message, Pastor Troy Smothermon explains from John 10 that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and believers can know His voice through time with Him, surrender, and obedience, contrasting yielded “sheep” with resistant “goats.” He then teaches that God calls people to be planted in a local church, using Psalms 92 and Jeremiah 17 to show that being rooted and watered by God's Word produces flourishing, stability in trouble, and fruitfulness even in drought. He warns against offense, convenience-driven drifting, and rebellion, emphasizing biblical loyalty built on truth, love, accountability, sacrifice, commitment, and shared vision. The sermon highlights that Jesus loves the church as His bride, is washing and preparing her for the marriage supper of the Lamb, and calls people to repent, return, and surrender to Christ.

Father Spitzer and Doug Keck dive into Pope Leo XIV's new encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, unpacking the Church's essential and transformative role in human life and salvation.
In this Church on the Move sermon, Pastor Troy Smothermon uses Ephesians 5:25 as he argues that people cannot fully love Jesus without loving His bride, the church, and explains that the local church builds and sharpens people (Proverbs 27:17), combats loneliness through relationships, and teaches integrity, responsibility, sacrifice, and servant leadership. He calls older believers to disciple younger believers (Titus 2:2–8), urges members not to be the “missing piece” in the body (1 Corinthians 12:18), and challenges listeners to encourage a believer and share Jesus with someone who doesn't know Him.
The church is Christ's body – a group of people called away from the world, to the purposes of God. Knowing that we have hope, let's choose to live in greater purity, work with greater intensity, and encourage with greater intentionality!

Pastor Troy Smothermon explains why he loves the church—especially the local church—reading a letter about how refreshing church community is, sharing his testimony of being saved after trying to pull his brother from what he thought was a cult, and teaching that the local church is God's house, a pillar of truth, and essential for salvation, discipleship, and transformation. He ends with an invitation to surrender to Jesus and a congregational prayer of salvation.
The series concludes in 1 Samuel 7:9–12, where the story takes a dramatic turn. The people who once watched the glory depart now experience the blessing of God's presence once again. After seasons of compromise, defeat, and spiritual emptiness, Israel returns to the Lord in repentance, and God responds with mercy. As Samuel offers a sacrifice and cries out to God on behalf of the people, the Lord fights for Israel and delivers them from their enemies. In response, Samuel raises a stone and calls it Ebenezer, saying, "Thus far the Lord has helped us." This message reminds us that spiritual failure does not have to be the end of the story. God delights in restoring repentant people. Where there was once Ichabod, "the glory has departed" God brings Ebenezer "the Lord has helped us." The path back is not through better methods or greater effort, but through humble repentance and renewed dependence on Him. Join us as we conclude Heavy People in a Light Church and discover how God restores His people when they return to Him with their whole hearts.

The church is Christ's body – a group of people called away from the world, to the purposes of God. It is both universal, and local. God calls a people, but places His name on a house! When we gather, that becomes the place God dwells.
Fr. Spitzer and Doug discuss why we know Jesus commissioned Peter to head His Church and the ways in which this commissioning would be passed on to Peter's successors.

Westward ho! Part 2 covers Brigham Young finding the LDS church and going full throttle on his way to the top baby. All gas no brakes. From going on "missions" where he would essentially kidnap girls and women to bring back to be plural wives for the church leaders, to slaughtering basically a whole tribe of native Americans, Brigham was a bad dude!
