Art Events’ is the umbrella term I’ve given to in-person events where we create art. This includes painting parties, art camps, and art classes. We’ve talked about art events on the podcast before when we heard from Emily Magone in episode #48, where she explained HOW to conduct painting parties. Now we want to explore the topic again, but look broadly at the pros and cons of all kinds of art events! Full Show Notes: https://ridgelightranch.com/all-about-art-events-podcast-66/.
Now that the school year is about over and we're starting to think about summer, consider hosting painting parties for adults (and kids) this summer to earn some extra income! Emily Magone has done this for years and now she's sharing all her secrets with you in her new package: "Start Your Own In-Home Painting Party Business." Episode 48 full show notes with all the links:
It's a time of transition for many - from grade school to middle school to high school to college or university, but also from studies to embarking on a career path. September can be like starting anew, and sometimes those new beginnings bring anxiety or stress. Emily Magone returns to discuss how she has managed transition as a military spouse, where moving - sometimes to the other side of the world - is a regular occurrence. Exchange Quotes: “A lot of people resist transition and therefore never allow themselves to enjoy who they are. Embrace the change, no matter what it is; once you do, you can learn about the new world you’re in and take advantage of it.” – Nikki Giovanni "Throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the tradewinds in your sails.” - Mark Twain Exchange Links: Emily’s Website, Instagram Epic Exchanges on Facebook
This week we welcome Emily Magone to the podcast to tell us the story of discovering how she could take her passion for painting and make it into her career. Emily is a self-taught nature artist from Northwest Montana, currently based in San Antonio, Texas. She explores the world seeking epic natural beauty without human interruption and brings the healing power of that beauty into her work. As well as her original paintings, Emily produces an eco-friendly collection of wearables printed with her artwork and has recently launched a collection of murals. Exchange Quotes: “If you are able to imagine it, it is not unrealistic.” – Abraham Hicks “The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know it when you find it.” – Steve Jobs Exchange Links: Exchange #10 – The Authentic You (Listen Now!)
