Many funding commitments never materialize. Issues come up in diligence. The investor has cash flow issues or unexpected expenses. Bad news from the financial markets shakes the investor's confidence. To close the funding, set up a timeline with the investor. Baby step in the process to get the documents signed, the diligence done, and the funds transferred. Remove areas of friction, such as docu-signing the investment documents. Diligence is a key area to watch out for, as new information will come to light. This will have the most impact on an investor's decision. Finally, keep the fundraise going. Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to sample 18 events aimed at helping them to start or grow their business as part of this year's Local Enterprise Week in Dublin City. The initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, supported by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, takes place from the 2nd to the 7th of March this year across the country. While there are hundreds of events taking place nationally during the week, there are plenty of events in Dublin City open to all. These events will focus on helping small businesses or anyone just looking to get started on their business journey to plan, start, sustain and grow. From AI and Green regulations to Food and Finance workshops, there will be something for every type of business across the week. Each of the 31 Local Enterprise Offices will be running a full programme of events in their area that will cover a variety of topics relevant to small businesses and those starting up. The events are open to all, from budding entrepreneurs to established businesses and offers the opportunity to get expert advice on key areas of business, from raising funds, improving your online presence, the benefits of AI, to how to make your business more productive and save money. Warren Cray, Head of Enterprise, Dublin City Council, said on the upcoming events: "Local Enterprise Week is the highlight of the year for us at LEO Dublin City. It's a real opportunity for businesses to step back and look at where they can grow, innovate, or perhaps become more sustainable — and to discover what support is right on their doorstep. How To Handle Pushback on Valuation Hello, this is Hall T. Martin with the Startup Funding Espresso -- your daily shot of startup funding and investing. In fundraising, the founder encounters a variety of investors. Some are concerned about the return, some about the traction, and others about the valuation. For those focused on valuation, here are some key steps to consider: First, check their knowledge of current market valuations. Ask what valuations they've seen on recent fundraises and exits that match your company. Next, identify what they consider the most important factors that drive valuation. This could be revenue, growth rates, team, or other. Finally, ask what valuation they would ascribe to your deal. The goal is to delay the negotiation process and gather as much information as possible. Investors see many deals and have information that most founders do not. Consider how their information informs your valuation. Once you decide on a valuation, stick with it and approach investors who are not as concerned with it. Raise a meaningful amount of funding for the deal. Find comps that support your valuation. Only then do you engage the original investors, but now there's evidence that other investors are in the deal. Menschen teilten ihr Leben, trugen einander, hörten auf Gottes Stimme und folgten Jesus im Alltag. Mit der Zeit entstanden Strukturen, Traditionen und Events. Ja hallöchen, wunderschönen guten Morgen. Freitag, der 13., was für ein Datum. Viele haben total Panik vor Freitag, dem 13. Ich finde: ein Tag wie jeder andere. 13 ist doch ein Glückstag. Heute freue ich mich riesig: Bei mir im Podcastinterview mein Freund und für mich absoluter Star-Fotograf: Ronny Barthel. Lieber Ronny, für uns beide sehr früh, wir haben uns heute Morgen kurz nach 10 Uhr getroffen. Schön, dass du da bist. Wie habe ich Ronny kennengelernt? Auf einem Event. Da ist mir ein Mann mit Kamera aufgefallen, der von früh bis tief in die Nacht rumgerannt ist: Aus allen Richtungen fotografiert, auf die Knie gegangen, in den Pausen raus, Bilder eingefangen, O-Töne eingefangen. Ich dachte: Boah, was ist das für ein cooler Typ! Viele Fotografen machen „Chili-Vanilly" einer stellte hinten ein Stativ auf, hockte auf dem Hochstuhl und fotografierte von hinten. Du warst anders. Ich sprach dich an und so warst du auf vielen Events bei uns. Ronny, woher kommt diese Passion, diese Freude am Fotografieren? Ronny: Wenn es schön aussieht, macht es Spaß, das aufzunehmen und ein schönes Ergebnis daraus zu machen. Freude an Kreativität. Fotografie ist ein Ausschnitt, du nimmst nicht alles auf, sondern das, was du in deiner Kamera siehst. Wie beim Film: Dort wird alles gestaged. Im realen Leben passe ich Menschen nicht an, aber ich kann Umgebung und Ausschnitt ändern. Darauf fokussiere ich mich. Wow. Und woher nimmst du die Power, von früh bis tief in die Nacht zu fotografieren? Ronny: Du kennst den Spruch: Wenn man das macht, was man liebt, dann funktioniert es einfach. Bei dir ist es ja genauso, 3.000 Podcasts würde ich nie machen. Wichtig ist: Finde das, was du unendlich lange machen kannst, egal ob bezahlt oder nicht. Und trotzdem: Ich bin effektiv und mache nicht zu viel. Kreativität ist unendlich, man kann sich darin verlieren. Ich kenne Kreative, die machen viel und kommen zu keinem Ergebnis. Ich suche die Balance zwischen „mein Ding" und Ergebnis. Ich habe heute weniger Lust auf Speaking-Events mit 30 Speakern. Es ist oft immer das Gleiche. Du buchst VIP-Ticket wegen Ruhe und Raum, ich sage: Ich muss nicht 30 Leute am Tag fotografieren. Irgendwann leidet Kreativität. Wenn Energie und Spaß fehlen, musst du ändern. So bleibt Motivation erhalten. Ich gehe mehr in individuelle Fotografie: Wir waren in Nizza drehen, fotografieren, filmen, Bilder wie Bali, Wasserfall und das war vor einer Woche in Nizza. Kernbotschaft für alle: Mach das, was du liebst. Dann bist du frei. Und: immer wieder checken, macht es mir Freude? Wenn ja, super. Wenn weniger: Ändern, changen. Sich treu bleiben. Ronny, du hast ein starkes Team. Viele jammern: keine guten Mitarbeiter. Wie schaffst du das? Ronny: Die sind einfach da. Okay, aber wie passiert das? Ronny: Ich habe eine Vision, eine Idee und dann kommen die richtigen Leute. Ich glaube ans Gesetz der Anziehung. Ich bin 45, es war ein langer Weg, mich zu verstehen: Was kann ich gut, was nicht? Ich kann Netzwerke aufbauen und Leute anziehen. Bei anderen funktionieren andere Wege. Das muss jeder selbst erkennen. Wenn du weißt, was für dich leicht ist, machst du es immer wieder und baust es aus: Stärken ausbauen. Nicht jeder muss auf die Bühne, manche Visionen sind nicht ihr Weg. Und heute prasseln täglich tausend „ultimative" Angebote rein. Blödsinn. Weniger ist mehr. Konzentration auf sich selbst. Beim Fotografieren bist du eins mit der Kamera, wie ein Tänzer im Raum. Ronny: Ich blende Außen komplett aus. Vergleichen mit anderen tut meiner Energie nicht gut. Ich muss bei mir sein, sonst kann ich nichts erschaffen. Ich baue gerade wieder ein neues Netzwerk: Vor zwei Monaten gestartet, 35 Leute im Team. Das Ergebnis ist die Konsequenz meiner Veränderung. Menschen folgen deiner Energie, Frequenz, Vision, nicht nur Geld. Geld als Bindung ist das Schlimmste. Die neue Generation weiß sehr genau, was sie will. Unternehmen müssen sich verändern und Raum schaffen. Meine Metapher: Bewusstseinsveränderung ist wie Inflation. Wenn außen alles schneller wird und du dich nicht mitveränderst, gehst du ein. Das sieht man auch bei KI: Sie wächst extrem schnell. Die Frage ist: Kann dein Bewusstsein mithalten, sonst nutzt es dein 16- oder 13-jähriger Sohn und baut über Nacht ein Millionen-Business. Ich verbinde Dinge kreativ neu, auch in der Fotografie: Menschen bleiben wie sie sind, aber Blickwinkel und Umfeld verändern sich. Und nochmal: Wer nicht mit der Zeit geht, geht mit der Zeit. Think Minimum Raise, Not Maximum Raise Hello, this is Hall T. Martin with the Startup Funding Espresso -- your daily shot of startup funding and investing. Most startup founders calculate how much funding they need to accomplish the goal. This is a good initial step in the fundraising process. The mistake is then asking for that amount of money in one go. It's important to break the raise down into steps and stages. The first round of fundraising should be the minimum needed to reach a milestone. Not a maximum to reach the end goal. The startup's valuation is low in the early stages, so the fundraise should be at a minimum, so the founders don't suffer too much dilution. For a minimum fundraise the founder should consider what is the minimum team focused on a minimum viable product to achieve initial traction. As the startup generates more products, revenue, and traction, it can raise its valuation and take larger amounts of funding. This will reduce dilution and make the job of building and selling the product easier. Consider what your minimum raise should be and what you can do with it. Srimad Bhagavatam [Bhagwat Katha] – Part 24 | Swami Mukundananda  Swamiji narrates the divine background of the Krishna Avatar, explaining how Lord Vishnu descended to protect dharma and restore balance in the world. The earth, burdened by the tyranny of demonic kings led by Kamsa, prayed for relief. The devatas approached Lord Vishnu, who assured them that He would incarnate to destroy evil and re-establish righteousness.  In Mathura, King Ugrasena was dethroned by his son Kamsa, who became a cruel ruler. When Kamsa heard the prophecy that Devaki's eighth child would be his destroyer, he imprisoned Devaki and Vasudeva. Yet, this very circumstance was part of the Lord's divine plan to manifest as Shree Krishna, the one who would annihilate Kamsa and liberate the world from adharma.  Swamiji emphasizes that the Krishna Avatar was not an ordinary birth but a cosmic intervention to uphold dharma. Whenever unrighteousness rises, God descends to protect His devotees and guide humanity back to the path of truth.  About Swami Mukundananda:    Swami Mukundananda is a renowned spiritual leader, Vedic scholar, Bhakti saint, best‑selling author, and an international authority on the subject of mind management.
