I had a phenomenal discussion with Isaiah Brock a newly graduated high school student going on to attend North Carolina A&T University in the Fall. Isaiah talks about his upbringing living in two different worlds, learning valuable lessons from his surroundings and having a plan for the future. Isaiah mentions that he hasn’t seen a lot of black students (not people) chasing success and this was a major reason for him choosing an HBCU. There are so many more nuggets that he shared that I don’t want to give away so I’d love to hear your comments on this episode. How significant is Harry Giles' string of knee surgeries? Will his lack of health prevent Duke from reaching its goals? Is there still any chance of the five-star freshman becoming the No. 1 overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft? CBS Sports' Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander discuss that at the top of this episode of the Eye on College Basketball podcast.
