Jordan Esker wears many hats. He is a songwriter, producer, composer, tiktoker, and all around indie kind of guy. Check out this episode featuring some of Jordans new music, and a great interview segment where we dig up the dirt on the Tampa Bay music scene!
I chop it up with Florida based singer/songwriter, producer and artist Jordan Esker. He was a joy to speak with - his passion & hunger for success were apparent from the beginning of our conversation together. We make our way through philosophy on art, social media strategies and of course Quincy Jones. He and his bands new record "Pica" is a sonic journey that I encourage everyone to take a listen to . You can see some BTS of his process on his YT page. We also dive into the beauty of recording to tape and using the pitch wheel to manipulate your vocal tracks in interesting ways. This conversation was extremely inspiring and I took what we discussed and put it into practice in a YouTube video. Take a look here! Keep Making Noise Y'all
Brian Longstreth from Punky's Bar & Grill is the featured interview. Our musician interview is with Jordan Esker from the band Tampa Super Group, and we feature their song Next Man.

what's up friends! again - so sorry for the shitty visuals/audio quality. this time the lapel mic's went out and we had to use the camera audio. we're trying! lmao it'll get better i promise. this episode is an interview with local musician Jordan Esker of the band Jordan Esker & The Hundred Percent. dude is a real intelligent, real laid-back guy (and his band makes some kick-ass shit.) i had a great time getting into the nitty-gritty of his music, what songwriting means to a songwriter, and why music is as powerful as it is. his band is real, genuinely good indie shtuff. make sure you check out their new album "Fail to Learn." i wish the best to this dude and his whole team. good stuff, this. i hope you guys enjoy this conversation half as much as i did having it :)
what’s good! welcome to the Floating Roots podcast - a brand new podcast coming from a music blog all about authenticity. this is episode one, i know there’s some shitty camera work and a really boring 5 minute intro, but work with us here :P we’re new to this too :) check the music blog itself, and check up for our next episode with the crazy talented St Petersburg musician, Jordan Esker :)
