So yeah, there's a lot to talk about today. And I want to start with the thing that I think is going to determine whether the Packers can actually get this season moving in the right direction, and that's the offensive line. Because let's be honest, folks, the offensive line has been a problem. We saw it against Atlanta. We saw the struggles in the running game. We saw Jordan Love dealing with pressure. We saw an offense that just couldn't consistently stay on schedule. And the Packers responded by doing something that we don't see very often from this organization. They went shopping. Laken Tomlinson, Mekhi Becton and now Kevin Zeitler have all been added in a matter of days. That's three former first-round offensive linemen brought into the building in one week, and collectively those three guys have more than 400 career regular-season starts.

So I'm not sitting here telling you that Green Bay is going down there and they're playing against a bunch of guys they found at the local Tampa YMCA. No. These are NFL players. But here's the problem, Tampa. You are 0-3. You have lost three football games. You have scored your way into a hole, and now you are about to start a rookie quarterback who has never started an NFL game. And who is standing across from him? At 14 years old, Chef Diego Garcia left his family in Mexico and returned to New York alone. He barely spoke English. He wasn't going to school. He worked wherever he could, and for a period of time, he had nowhere to live. Diego slept in the New York City subway, cleaned himself up in restaurant bathrooms and helped people carry groceries while trying to save enough money to rent a room. His parents back in Mexico had no idea. But Diego's story didn't begin there. Growing up in Puebla, he worked alongside his family in street markets, unloaded trucks filled with produce and learned to slaughter goats and prepare barbacoa with his father and grandfather. Food wasn't a career yet. It was simply part of life. New York changed that. Restaurants became Diego's education. He learned English by reading newspapers on the train and learned his craft inside kitchens. French technique, Italian cooking, sustainable seafood and years of working alongside chefs from different cultures eventually gave him a language of his own. The road wasn't clean. As a teenager in Florida, Diego found himself selling drugs, stealing cars and dangerously close to a future he knew he didn't want. He left, returned to New York and made a decision that would alter the direction of his life: he was going all in on cooking. Today, Diego is approaching 200 events through his own private-chef business while working toward his ultimate goal of opening a restaurant built around seafood, Mexican heritage and the many cultures and techniques that shaped him along the way. But this conversation goes much deeper than food. Diego talks about homelessness, poverty, pride, family violence, bad decisions, abusive kitchen culture, leadership, fatherhood, healing from childhood trauma and finally learning to be proud of himself. Mexico remains central to Diego's identity, but New York is part of him too. French, Italian, Nordic, Asian and seafood-driven influences have become tools he uses to express his Mexican heritage rather than replace it. His restaurant vision is rooted in honesty. She cites a Cerulli study: clients are not going to refer an advisor because of investment performance. Performance is table stakes. She can look at a room full of advisors and get similar performance from any of them. The people more likely to refer are the ones with whom the advisor has built a significant and meaningful relationship. She also says AI can streamline processes, find efficiencies, and even be trained to think and act like the advisor, but there is no replacement for the human being and the connection clients are seeking. The question is what the advisor does with the capacity that comes back. And before a prospect calls, they will Google the advisor and often use AI to look them up. Familiarity, even with someone they have never met, is already part of how trust starts.ABOUT MICHELLE LYNCHMichelle Lynch is Senior Vice President of Practice Management and Growth Consulting at Raymond James. She leads the practice management and growth consulting team, which she describes as centered on growth: new advisors coming into the industry, experienced advisors already in the business, and succession when an advisor sells or passes the practice to the next generation. She joined Raymond James 22 years ago in the marketing department after starting in advertising and public relations. Her path since then has included six years in asset management, a return to marketing and the private client group, leading the firm's network for women financial advisors, serving as sales manager for the employee channel, and leading the Tampa Bay market and its 17 offices for four or five years before coming back to the home office. In the interview she confirms that this work supports Raymond James's roughly 9,000 advisors. She describes the firm's advisor-choice spectrum: an employee channel, a hybrid advisor-select channel, an independent channel, and an RIA channel that clears and custodies through Raymond James while remaining free to use other custodians. Across those paths, she says advisors own their book and can leave unencumbered. The work of her team, she says at the end of the conversation, is conversation, coaching, and consulting, not directives. There is no single model.
