Caroline Mingay speaks about the meaning of the line of the Lord's Prayer - Give is this day our daily bread. Eugene Peterson who said: "We start with the body ... we are flesh and blood creatures. We need bread in order to live. We are souls destined for eternity but these souls are embodied with digestive systems. If we don't eat, we won't pray." How true that is, and it's a great starting point for our reflections on this wonderful line in the Lord's Prayer.

If you missed it, Andy & Krissy King pull from an excerpt in the Lord's Prayer: "Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors." Jesus was emphasizing the importance of the PRESENT in this passage. We need to get back our TODAY, and we've been given the power to give others back their TODAY. Our shame, guilt, mistakes and condemnation do not get the final say in Jesus. "It is finished."
