This episode of Secret Sauce deals with the way the world seems to always shit on our (black) sheroes. From Lisa Durden being fired for keeping it real on Fox News to the police once again murdering a black woman who needed help, this is a pattern that needs to stop. For our interviews, meet Shayla Racquel the filmmaker behind Riverment which explores the evolving struggle for black rights and how that struggle affects families through generations. We also cackle with the ladies from Black Girl Squee, a podcast hosted by Inda & Didi that is dedicated to celebrating the achievements of Black girls and women.  Check out the episode and let us know what you think.   Also, if you're a black woman with a business/event/podcast/service that you would like promoted, please email us at BWBusiness@MTRNetwork.Net.   Show Notes: Intro Lisa Durden fired for comments made on Fox News Black Girl Squee The police murdering Charleena Lyles Shayla Racquel- Riverment Leslie Jones hosting the BET Awards Sponsors: Sign up for Loot Crate through our affiliate link!
