We may not be far off from the end of hip and knee replacements, at least if this week's guest has anything to say about it. Nina Tandon is the co-founder and CEO of EpiBone, a biotech company that grows bone and cartilage for skeletal reconstruction. Under her leaderhip, EpiBone has raised millions in investor funding and conducted the first human implantations of bones grown from stem cells.  In this episode, Nina talks about the process of growing bones from stem cells, and the importance of bone and cartilage repair BEFORE they've deteriorated.  The regenerative approach to this process is fascinating. This was an insightful discussion, and in addition to biotech advancements, we dug into the challenges startups in this space face, why New Jersey is seeing so many startups in biotech, and the importance of exposing more young women to STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) studies at a young age. Talking with people like Nina keep me inspired about the future of medicine, biotechnology and human longevity.  I hope you enjoy the episode.Follow Dr. Bob Hariri on his platforms here:Web: www.pilotinghealth.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/drbobhariri/X: https://twitter.com/DrBobHaririTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@pilotinghealthLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/drbobhariri/
