We reserved the best for the last! Presenting to you the season finale episode titled Thyagabharati Showcase. Thyagabharati was a movement started by Prof V V Sadagopan, the great music professor and musician of the 1940-1970 time period. Prof Sadagopan believed that music was the most conducive medium to impart education to children. So combining his expertise in Music and his philosophy of "Joy Way of Learning", he founded the Thyaga Bharati movement and seeded it with a bunch of tamil songs for children set to very simple tunes. While these songs are excellent on their own, In this episode, we pick up a few of them and weave them into an extempore story. Tune in to listen to this song-story sequence. "Sambhashana Sandesha" is a monthly magazine published by Samskrita Bharati - an almost 40 year old organisation that focusses on the propagation of Sanskrit as a commoner's language. Through their network of offices and volunteers, they endeavour to reach Sanskrit and its embedded knowledge systems to whomsover interested to learn it.
