Kenton White, founder and CTO of Distil, talks about the differences between simulations and games and how HCI plays an important role in creating the best solutions. The highly intuitive and interactive digital games provide virtual environments where players learn and demonstrate skills and behaviours for anything from interviewing techniques to emergency response procedures.

The debate over copyright reform in Canada has generated increasing attention as the emphasis on greater protection gives way to the growing realization that too much copyright may inhibit innovation and cultural creativity. Jeff Parks, co-vice-chair of CapCHI talks with Dr. Michael Geist about his presentation; exploring these trends and their impact on the explosive development of new online creativity and nascent business models, while sketching out a copyright roadmap that prioritizes Canadian interests and that builds on the power of the Internet.

Mike Atyeo, co-founder of Neo Insight and an Information Architect and Usability guru sits down after his presentation on Usability and Ajax with Jeff Parks, Vice-chair of CapCHI and President of I.A. Consultants, to discuss the key points of his presentation; including how this new approach to developing Web 2.0 services will help and hinder programmers and designers.
