Jackie Chan returns to the Fist-iverse in this direct sequel to Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury, with Jackie attempting his best impression of Lee. Ethan and Mason also discuss the geography of Taiwan, Leslie Neelson's coverage of the Three Stooges, and hidden gems of Martin Scorsese.

You may not know it, but Bruce Lee had a major role in shaping Jackie Chan’s career. In this episode Mason and Ethan watch the Bruce Lee classic Fist of Fury. This movie features a major stunt performed by Jackie, he was also the stunt coordinator. We talk about the impact Bruce Lee has on cinema, the evolution of Jackie, and the differences between the two martial artists.

Jackie Chan, under the direction of the great John Woo, plays a bad ass blacksmith who joins forces with Shaolin student Yun Fei (Doran Tan) and a drunken swordsman to defeat the evil Shih Shao-Feng (James Tien) and his dreaded Iron Claw technique. This film also features a young Sammo Hung in a supporting role as the head of the evil henchman. Ethan and Mason dissect this great team-up action adventure, Jackie Chan's early career, and comparisons to and associations with Bruce Lee.

Jackie Chan is the evil Immortal who hires the renowned Killer Meteor to obtain a poison antidote and murder his wife in this very complicated wuxia adventure. Killer Meteor destroys every single person he encounters, concluding with two fantastic fight sequences involving his secret weapon. Ethan and Mason also discuss two other famous asteroid movies, AMC A-Listers, and the exciting variety of roles of Jackie's early career.

Police Woman (1973) Have you ever seen a movie where the title of the movie is not the main plot? Neither have we. In one of his two appearances as a villain (so far) Jackie Chan is a gang leader who hunts down a cab driver for a valuable purse. Cab Man (Charlie Chin) is aided by Police Woman (Yuen Qiu). Ethan and Mason discuss/review the crime thriller, whether Jackie is a believable villian, and which of his movies are the best introduction for a 2 year old.

An emotionally raw and very violent movie about a group of Chinese rebels who take a stand against Japanese soldiers when Japan occupied China. Jackie is in a supporting role here, but we’ve never seen him as angry and violent as he is in Fist of Anger. Apologies in advance, the recording abruptly stopped half way through but we still wanted to upload it. Perhaps we will revisit it at the end of the series.
