Apple's latest string of announcement brought some news that is still reverberating throughout the advertising world. That’s because Apple is introducing strict new privacy protection in its mobile Safari browser on the iPhone. The update to Apple’s Safari browser prevents ad networks from effectively tracking your browsing history through the use of cross site tracking. The new intelligent tracking prevention features stops third-party sources (e.g.: major ad networks) from effectively creating a copy of your browsing history via tracking cookies stored on your device. Michael and Alayna talk all about it. Every episode of the Chicago Marketing Podcast is sponsored by Magnani Continuum Marketing. Check out www.magnani.com to learn more. In last week's episode Michael & Alayna broke down the numbers behind user's growing dissatisfaction with Facebook and Social Media. This week in Part II they will discuss how we as marketers can react and still deliver our message to our desired audiences.
Politics and Social Media seem to go hand-in-hand in 2017. There has been a large percentage of Facebook users who have become increasingly frustrated with the vitriol and tone of the conversations taking place on the platform. There is also a percentage of users who enjoy the competitiveness and continually involve themselves in the conversation. What does this mean for marketers? Are people fleeing Facebook? And if so, are they migrating or are they leaving Social Media entirely. In this week's episode Alayna & Michael discuss the numbers behind newsfeed.
