in today's episode, Sigi dives into how chicano culture is not influential to this era of Chicano, Mexican, and latino people. We don't see any Chicano's culture, stilo, or lingo in the art. from music to content creators it is missing, but when it comes to comedy in FOOism it is alive, which could be a bit of a problem. press play to find out more. In episode 6, Sigi  break down if Latinx is going to be accepted in the Latin community. I break down what Latinx is trying to accomplish in the culture, and what it means to be Lantix. 

In episode 5, Sigi gives account of 10 Mexican women who took the head director of the GYN department of USC hospital to court for wrongfully giving them tubal ligation during labor. Sigi looks into eugenics programs in that were prevalent in the 1900s, and into laws that came about after this news broke to the public. I am going to make episode longer to get more information in. 16 mins does no justice to some of the podcast I do. In today's episode, we look into The Mexican Repatriation. I, Sigi jimenez, gives accounts of the unconstitutional acts that the government did to Americans of Mexican descent. the 1930s was uncertain for Mexican Americans.  I certainly can not cover the whole complexity of this point in time in a 10 to 20 min podcast, but I hope this can open the door for everyone to look more into this history, and push for this ugly truth and history to be taught in school. 

In the premier episode, I look into the making of the Chicano culture. I give a brief insight on how the Zoot Suit era came about, and set the stage for the future of Chicano culture.
