Isn’t the Christian life one which presses on, looking toward our aspirations, our goals, our desire and coupled with a vision – we press on toward the high calling and mark of Jesus Christ? Yet, while we are pressing onward we come into trials, detours, troubles, set-backs of all kinds and we sometime become disappointed, weary and even become helpless in our pursuits. Most researchers describe human emotion as the reaction to responses sub-consciously that derive from our thoughts (thought process) based upon that which is being influenced in our environment, what we see, or hear, or have learned. It could be instantaneously (some catastrophe, that is sudden, or it may come from some ongoing experience we are having). Most theorists place emotions into two categories: Positive and Negative. Tonight we continue our study on this very important topic: Human Emotions.3-
Emotions are closer to us than air. They are the ever present current within us: they define the inner world and give us continual commentary on the outer world. Even the awareness of life, starts with emotions. Life demands an understanding of emotions. Setting aside the biblical realities evangelical scene, simple existence demands an understanding of emotions. They are closer to us than our skin, than the air we breathe. Emotions are as constant and present as the weather surrounding us. We need to understand and manage them. Tonight we start a series of shows on such.
Christian boundaries are a source of confusion for many Christians, especially when they are in difficult relationships. We wonder what a boundary is. We wonder if we have the right to set boundaries. We wonder what our boundaries should be. We wonder if we should adjust our limits when people refuse to respect the boundaries we have. We wonder what other people would do in a similar situation. We wonder why we need boundaries. We wonder if our boundaries will be challenged. We wonder what kind of boundaries God would want us to have. In order to strengthen our boundaries, we need to embrace the truths about boundaries and low self-esteem.. Tonight we conclude this topic.
