I was invited by a great friend, mentor, and partner of mine, Mr. Greg Pinneo of the Cor Company to host an episode of his weekly seminar for his group called, Capital Club. In this "self interview", I go deep into my personal past five years of life. How did I go from a straight edged, hard working engineer making a great salary... to walking away from that completely to literally NO guaranteed income coming in the door and confidently dive head first into real estate? Listen in to find out the story. Also, if you every have any questions, you want to connect, or you're in the Portland area and want to meet, reach out to me at 971-803-9533. I would love to know your thoughts on the subject. Thanks for listening BOX

When we are working, hustling, heck sometimes grinding on a daily basis, it’s hard to really feel the tremendous progress that is being made every day. In this episode I share a story of two real examples of people around me helping to to stop and see: WOW, look how much progress has been made in such a short amount of time..
Today let’s discuss my favorite skill that I’m still working hard to develop more and more every day: prioritization.
The bank is holding your money hostage. Period.
How to get started: find the right balance of discipline and focus.
What does it mean to have faith? In the book Think and Grow Rich, Napleon Hill proclaims that an unwavering faith is one of the key components in the quest to become successful. What does she mean by that? Here are some of my thoughts but please send me yours as well. I’d love to get your perspective.
What are you doing to make sure that you are not only in the right place art the right time, but that you’re the right PERSON in the right place at the right time? Follow your passions, create a life by design.
Everyone has the same amount of time in the day. Whatever each of us is doing with our time currently each day is working. It’s getting us in some way shape or form whatever it is that we need in order to maintain the lifestyles we currently have. So if what you’re doing works, that begs the question: How do you SCALE it?! How do you do more, create more value, and earn more in the same amount of time? Join me and let’s discuss this idea!
Focus on everything is focus on nothing. What do you need to focus on to ensure your business not only survives, but thrives?

We are all Engineered for Success. Design your own future.
Success = a few simple disciplines practiced every day. Here’s my take on why.
How bad do you want it? We are all given the same amount of time in the day. How much are you going to choose to take and utilize to further your goals and life?
Details can makenor break a deal, an opportunity, or a project. Some of us love working on the detailed stuff... while others wnjoy the higher level management, scheming, and planning. Its important that we are aware of what type of personality wr have, but its even more important that we remain conscious of what is the most important task that needs to get done right now. First. And done right. That may mean spendingg 2 days working on details when you are the high level personality.

Change is one of the most difficult activities that we can consider. To change takes consistent, deliberate, consistent action. We have the ability, however, to change today. Be aware of the power that little fact gives you and your future.
Patience. Understand that if one door closes... it simply opens the door to unlimited new opportunities.
Practice everyday improving left and right brain skills. Extraordinary achievement requires skills in both.
Make the best decision you can now! Go! Making no decision and waiting is often much more detrimental to real progress. Get started and adjust along he way as you learn and grow!
Success is getting a little bit better every single day.
When your back is against the wall, all you can do is keep pushing forward. Don’t quit.
Let’s all try to spend less and less time, energy, and attention on things we cannot control.
Ask for what you want! And practice asking for what you want until you are an expert at asking.
How do you minimize risks? First, by knowing your stuff! Second, by doing your homework before committing. Today I’m talking on the due diligence period in real estate and real estate investing!
Decide. And take action! Based on the best information you have available at the time. I’ve seen too many instances already in my life where lack of a decision or inaction has slowed progress. In some cases it actually hurt progress toward goals and objectives.
Persistence. Because as Jocko Willink says, “ discipline equals freedom.”
How conscious are you of the relationships you are building today? How will those relationships help build your business years in the future? The impacts of great references can be huge!
I think I’m finally starting to understand: #patience. How critically important it is... and more importantly becoming conscious of how difficult it is to remain patient. Especially as one who thrives on taking action.
Naivety. Get started. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Get better. Everyday.
