God is not indifferent to infidelity. Hosea in the Bible is the true story of how a husband scorned by his wife found love & restoration. God cares for those affected by unfaithfulness.
God changed the meaning of Hosea's children's names to herald hope, healing, wholeness & restoration: 1) The grief of betrayal became an opportunity for Hosea’s faith to growth. 2) In the person of the Holy Spirit, God would restore Hosea and this broken world with His Love. 3) God gave Hosea and His People New Life as Children of the Living God.
The Bible does not tell us whether Hosea and Gomer's marriage was ultimately restored. Yet Hosea teaches us about: 1) Love that does not last forever. 2) Dangers of love that lasts forever. 3) Joy of love that lasts forever.
Hosea shows us the Courage of love when the prophet forgave and loved his unfaithful wife Gomer. The prophet shows us: 1) it takes Courage to receive love 2) the Courage to give love 3) Where Hosea got his Courage
Discovering your spouse has had an affair is isolating.
