Thelma is a big time BTS fan. Emily really enjoys the song "Fake Love" Conor has no idea what a BTS even is. What happens when Conor is exposed to BTS for the first time?
It's the Holidays! We watched two shorts! The Snowman, and A Charlie Brown Christmas. We tried to talk about them, but instead we started shoving cookies in our mouths and accusing each other of being the Grinch. So it was just like any other holiday get-together, really. Thanks.
Boo! It's our Halloween episode, so we consulted a real live witch! Be prepared for a trick (We didn't talk about an animated movie???) and a treat! (We talked about a cult classic Halloween kids movie.) Note: This episode was recorded remotely and had some technical and audio issues. Sorry! Also, Thelma had only the common cold during this recording and is perfectly fine now. Stay safe, everyone!
We delivered this episode live from a stage! Did we have an audience? No. That's literally the only location we could podcast from. We talked about Pocahontas! This was one of the most interesting casts yet, as our opinions on it seemed to vary greatly depending on our cultural backgrounds. (Hint: The indigenous people didn't like it.) Turn on your Social Studies brain for this one, folks!
Welcome to the HOT TAKE ZONE! On this incredibly controversial episode of Drawing Conclusions we espouse taboo ideas in order to attract hate listeners. Conor, who is humble and a completely unbiased episode description writer, gets into a real argument with Thelma who is very wrong. PS sorry for vacuum sounds in the background. Theme song by Chel Wong! drawingconclusionspod@gmail.com
Everything is Awesome! except for the lack of Thelma in this episode. This time we recorded as a duo, but we promise Thelma will be back! Conor advocates for double decker couches, while Emily advocates for.... other things.
A Bug's Life! We watched the underdog Pixar movie. Yay! Conor shills several Apple products and one soda brand. Thelma gets her ego boosted. Emily advocates for watching blooper reels.
OBSURE MOVIE ALERT! We watched a movie that was completely unknown to two of us, and a childhood favorite to one of us. It was super WEIRD!!!! Thelma notices something funny about accents. Conor notices something funny about an aspect of the movie a possibly perverted animator thought was incredibly important. Emily just can't watch her gosh darn language. We don't have time for invisible grandmas.
Ok So we tried to talk about Anastasia but, much like the train in the movie, things tended to go off the rails and explode. We are all overly tired. Sorry. Thanks Thelma activates a Manchurian Candidate. Conor reveals the worst part of every Disney movie. Emily reveals her lack of knowledge of swimwear throughout the ages. PS There is a vacuum in the background for part of the episode. Such is the life of being in a semi-shared space during recording. Sorry again. Thanks again. https://twitter.com/DrawingConPod
TEN ENTIRE EPISODES We managed to get through interrupting trucks, interrupting coworkers, social distancing, and general tiredness to bring you our tenth episode, about a movie that is very special to all of us... The Fox and the Hound! BTW, Conor totally messes up and says Snow White when he means Sleeping Beauty when talking about Wolfgang Reitherman's directing credentials. Sorry, David Hand enthusiasts. email: drawingconclusionspod@gmail.com twitter: @drawingconpod Thanks for listening!
New Podcast Episode! Come on and Slam! We discuss Space Jam! We offer up entirely accurate soundtrack credits. Conor never makes any mistakes except for when he does. Thelma gets jealous of a cartoon rabbit. Emily offers her fan casting of Michael Jordan for a Michael Jordan biopic. (It's Michael Jordan.) email: drawingconclusionspod@gmail.com twitter: @drawingconpod Rate and review on Apple Podcasts!!!!
Drawing Conclusions with Conor, Thelma and.... Emily???? We increase our ranks by one in our first in-person recording! We talk about The Emperor's New Groove! It's wonderful! Conor repeatedly makes things awkward, and Thelma ponders why American people always quote movies. email: drawingconclusionspod@gmail.com Twitter: @drawingconpod Theme Song friend: www.mitchelwongaudio.com sound effects from www.zapsplat.com
Conor and Thelma answer questions about El Dorado Like... What were the filmmakers thinking? What was Elton John thinking? What was Cookie thinking? Note: Some pretty bad audio issues this time. Sorry! https://twitter.com/DrawingConPod drawingconclusionspod@gmail.com
A short message that we felt was necessary to speak up about. Unfortunately we had some audio issues in recording it, but we still feel that it is necessary to put out. Thanks.
In this episode, we discuss The Secret of Kells! Are our hosts fully prepared to discuss an independent movie with a unique art style and deep references to traditional Irish culture and heritage? Definitely! There's no way that one of the hosts might have accidentally fallen asleep during the movie. After this episode, we are switching to biweekly. Tune in in 2 weeks when we discuss "The Road to El Dorado" We have a twitter! https://twitter.com/DrawingConPod Theme song! www.mitchelwongaudio.com
In this episode, we reflect on Mulan! We cover a whole bunch of topics. 90s Disney, The Disney remakes, gender identity, The Splash Butt Controversy, Asian American representation, and so much more! Plus: Conor reveals an important statistic he noticed about Disney Princesses while binge watching Disney movies. Also, Thelma finds love???
It's our fourth episode Shrektacular! Thelma is trying to be a good cat mom, and makes a great point about self image and beauty standards! Conor forgets the name of David Geffen and reveals something that will surely get him made fun of later. Theme song by mitchelwongaudio.com
They set out to record a regular podcast... ...but then... A shocking truth is revealed that will shake the foundations of their friendship to its very core. Join us as we have a conversation about the Studio Ghibli classic, My Neighbor Totoro.
Things get heavy with our second episode, about The Iron Giant! We reminisce about a time period when neither of us were alive. Thelma reflects on the psychology of the giant, as well as his digestive system. Conor reveals his most embarrassing secret and laughs at toilet jokes.
Our first episode! Conor and Thelma go into a childhood favorite, A Goofy Movie! Conor thinks he hears a cow, and reveals the part of the movie he always rewinds. Thelma lacks carbs and is obsessed with Max's puberty. Theme Song by Mitchel Wong! www.mitchelwongaudio.com
