Welcome to Mr. Corcoran's Podcast! This is where Ocean View Elementary students can access assorted 4th grade content WITHOUT looking at a screen! This will also be an example of Mr. Corcoran living the aphorism "Mistakes are the Best Teachers," as he is GUARANTEED to make many mistakes ... and hopefully learn from them!
Hello out there! Darn Dog is eager to branch out from video to audio, specifically Podcasting … or, as he insists on calling it: PawedCasting … Anyway, enjoy the first episode where he and I discuss two books: the Lemonade War and Justin Case: Rules, Tools, and Maybe a Bully.
Disregard the "Oh no!" ... it turns out everything worked fine! For this part of the podcast, I am on the descent of my ride to school, once I arrived at the top of the hill, coasting down to OV at AHS was a breeze!
Hello out there, this is my first "Pedal Podcast" - I recorded this as I biked to school on the second day of the Golden Sneaker week. I tried to mention all of my students, including things they do that inspire me to be a better teacher. For some reason, I saw something cool and took a picture of it. That activity paused the recording, so be sure to listen to Part 2 for more "Pedaling w/ Mr. Corcoran."
Hello class, this is a conversation I had on the way to school this morning. I called darn dog and Sammy the seal and told them about the strange idea I had last night when I woke up in the middle of the night. Just so you know, this is a very strange conversation but it made me laugh! Hope you like it, let me know if you have any questions!
Hello class, this is an optional activity for you to complete. Play this podcast and walk around Memorial Park and see if you can find some of the 10 treasures I left hidden! Please be considerate, and only take one treasure!!
This is the first attempt at a "Rounding Song" where I list numbers that are then rounded up or down to the nearest 10, 100 or 1,000 Your suggestions and feedback are welcome and encouraged!
Hello all, this podcast is a collection of sounds made in GarageBand that may (or may NOT!) remind you of the 9 regions in we are learning about in California History. See what you think - be ready to provide me with your opinions (and suggestions for alternate songs!)
Hello out there, this is our follow up podcast. In this episode we hear from Dylan, Braylan and Kingston. They are three young students that I have had the pleasure of knowing for many years (Braylan and Dylan) or was lucky enough to teach in 4th grade (Kingston.) They share their answers to the questions from our previous episode!
Hello all, this is a collection of sounds (is it an instrumental song?) that I made during the summer using GarageBand. I used ONLY features on the application, no "real" instruments. I am using it as my first attempt to upload a podcast. If this works, then I will begin recording "podcasts" ... whatever that will look (sound?) like only time will tell!
