Rain fell off and on all day long, but the wetness could not dampen the spirits of the Samford University faithful at homecoming Saturday, Nov. 7. The day was filled with reunions, special lectures, music and the joyful laughter that comes from friends with a shared tradition. A poncho-clad crowd in Seibert Stadium cheered the Bulldogs to an impressive 43-0 win over homecoming opponent Clark Atlanta.

Researchers from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy, Children’s of Alabama and University of Alabama at Birmingham are collaborating to solve a puzzle that could positively impact the care of critically ill children. The pilot study that began in February 2015 aims to determine the effect that continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) has on antibiotic levels in critically ill pediatric patients with acute or chronic renal failure.

More than 800 freshman students rolled onto the Samford University campus Friday, Aug. 14, filled with excitement about beginning a new chapter in their lives. They are already making history as part of the largest-ever freshman class at Samford. With transfers, the university will have more than 1,000 new students this fall, and total enrollment is expected to exceed 5,000 for the first time in Samford history.
Soon to be Samford graduates use Bulldog Blastoff to take care of their last minute commencement details. Students can snap their graduation photos, order class rings, and record a graduation announcement--in a one stop shop event. Also, reality sets in as their goal of graduation college is on the horizon in May.
