We share our thoughts on the importance of seeking support and some of the convenient ways that we are able to find it. We hope that there's quality information in here for you to use and share, not only with your loved ones but also with us. Leave us a voice message or send us an email, we'd love to hear from all of the over/psyched warriors out there, as we love to learn from you and pass on your thoughts and contributions with others. We have always been told to be future oriented and plan. However, in today's climate we can't really do that, can we? So we are trying to find ways to be present focused and put structure in our day. While we wait on COVID-19 to create a new "norm", we have to look at our current challenges and rebuild our lives around what's happening now. We can no longer just wait and blame the pandemic. For most this includes parenting with added roles of teacher; creating a home environment that is also work, school and play, and trying to keep boundaries between all involved. It isn't always easy but we have to take it one moment at a time. It's okay, to not be okay. Use your support system and whatever skills you have to maintain your self care. We would love to hear about how you have pushed through the challenges of the pandemic, school closings/reopening and other changes. Email us at overpsyched@gmail.com or send us a message on Anchor. We would love to hear from our warriors. Until next time, seek grounding and remain present focused. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/overpsyched/message
After some much needed time away, we've been able to push through some grief and other challenges. We appreciate the support we've been given and will continue to get we all know, grief is a process. This weeks episode is just another conversation that's allowed us to talk through some of the challenges that we are still dealing with, and those we feel are essential to keep discussing during this pandemic. Remember that no one can tell you how or how long it'll take you to push through your personal challenges; we hope that you know that you are NOT alone. We plan to keep this up because we know sometimes just a conversation about real life issues with real people can go a long way. We hope that while we continue to heal and rebuild you are doing the same. We are all warriors fighting to be heard, seen and understood. Feel free to reach out to us at overpsyched@gmail.com, we'd love to hear from you. We've missed you, but we're back! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/overpsyched/message

A whatever-ship is that relationship that is causing you some type of anxiety and/or stress. Figuring out whether the is eustress or distress is paramount to understanding the level of closeness that relationship has. Join me solo this week as I share my personal struggle with relationships in my life. I hope you are able to recognize where you stand in the lives of the people you invest your time in. Parenting is not always easy. In this episode we discuss our experience with parenting and things we try to remember when we get over psyched. All they need is love and your presence. We understand the differences in raising children today and how values can differ presenting more challenges. Talk with your children, find some understanding. Allow them to come to you with questions and be okay not knowing or discovering the answers together. Be open to explanation when necessary. It is not an attack on your authority if you explain yourself. They need to see that you are human too! We would love to hear your stories, so send us a message on Anchor or email at overpsyched@gmail.com. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/overpsyched/message
It was such a pleasure to do this episode. It's a rare occasion to sit WITH Mahogany while we have our conversations, and this one was a blessing as we relaxed on the beach, watching the sun rise, and being mesmerized by the crashing waves. I hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed recording. Share with us your "happy place" and also I would love to know if you attempted the short visualization exercise. We cannot stress enough how important it is for you to maintain healthy relationships, and that doesn't mean you get to neglect the most important relationship you have, with yourself! Today's episode is our take on how to identify relationships that are healthy and toxic. We express the importance of effective communication and boundaries in any relationship whether romantic or platonic. You shouldn't always be over/psyched when it comes to giving and receiving the love you deserve. Although we realize that all relationships aren't easy, you should always be safe. Remember, the more you love yourself the less likely you are going to tolerate the negative energy that comes your way! We want to hear your thoughts and journey's. We want to shout out and support the warrior in you! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/overpsyched/message

Self care is all about taking care of your mental and physical health. We want you to do so with self love. Allow yourself to have quality time doing something you love and need, to remain fit in every way, every day. We want you to do this without guilt and/or other barriers. We understand that there are circumstances that force you to put yourself on the back burner, however it is vital that you remember to make it a part of your daily routine. We will discuss ways we implement self care into our lives, even during the pandemic. Remember, you matter and self care is a part of the plan to help you believe that by increasing your self love and acceptance. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/overpsyched/message
