Episode 7 - " A Gastronomy Trip in São Paulo" – The new episode of the EMBRATUR podcast gives a brief picture of a recent gastronomic press trip that brought 3 American journalists on a cultural immersion trip through São Paulo, Salvador and Belém. The podcast has a special guest: Niki Achitoff-Gray, managing editor at Serious Eats.

Episode 6 - "Pantanal" – The new episode of the EMBRATUR podcast talks about one of the most mysterious and interesting regions in Brazil: PANTANAL, a flooded savannah with rich fauna and flora, which offers its visitors a true safari in the heart of the country. And the podcast brought some special guests; a couple of American travel writers, Karen Catchpole and Eric Mohl, who spent more than a month in the region, and have a blog (trans-americas.com) where they tell about all their adventures.

Episode 5 - "Choro" – In this fifth episode of the EMBRATUR podcast, the cultural series discusses now about “Choro” and its connection to the birth of one of the first urban music styles which is now a typical genre of the Brazilian music. To enrich this discussion, we brought Gabriel Carneiro, a musician, researcher and a specialist in Choro, who lives in Brasília and plays at the Choro Club, in the capital of Brazil.

Episode 4 - "Maracatu and Frevo" - In this fourth episode of the EMBRATUR podcast, we discuss a little bit about the cultural richness of the traditional rhythms in the state of Pernambuco, in Northeast Brazil: Maracatu and Frevo have a deep relationship with the African heritage and mark the cultural identity of the state and its capital, Recife. To enrich the discussion, we have the participation of Sérgio Gaia, musician, researcher and music coordinator of the Paço do Frevo, in Recife.

Episode 3 - "Afro-Brazilian Rythms" - The Brazilian Tourism Board (EMBRATUR) discusses a little bit of the rich culture behind the African influences in Brazil, especially in the Northeastern state of Bahia (and its capital, Salvador). This third episode debates the importance of the African-Brazilian culture in the gastronomy, history and, of course, music in Brazil.

Episode 2 - "Bossa Nova" - In this new episode of the Passion for Living Podcsast, the Brazilian Tourism Board (EMBRATUR) invited the music producer, Béco Dranoff, who works with Brazilian music for more than 30 years to discuss Bossa Nova. The Brazilian Tourism Board (EMBRATUR) invited the US writer, Kevin Raub, responsible for more than 40 Lonely Planet Guides to a very Brazilian, laid-back "bate-papo" (chat in Portuguese) about cachaça. Kevin, who has lived in Brazil (and is married to a Brazilian), discusses his experiences of living as a local as well as how he discovered the "famous national drink".
