We spun the wheel for the first time last week to let chance decide which movie we're watching and out came.... Picnic at Haning Rick by Peter Weir. None of us knew much and it was quite a trip. Not your go to movie for sure. Check it out
We've been away for a while... Apologies, this year has been crazy. But we're back with a selection of dark and gritty movies to fit the climate of these days.
Get ready for a trinity of existentialist absurdism... Yet again we managed to pick three movies that are weirdly similar: A masterful study of the many kinds of breakups we have to endure, by David Lowery, Charlie Kaufman's epic confusion and an A24 western that you have probably never heard of by John Mclean. An absolute tour de force.
A gloomy week it has been but oh boy was it good...
We have three very distinct movies on the menu this week. Not necessarily masterpieces but they all offer pronounced views on filmmaking and life. Check it out!
We decided to have a lighthearted week with three fun movies. Check it out
We're back with another episode of vivid film discussion. A Hollywood heavy week but what can we say? We just like it every once in a while.

It is our great pleasure to present this bonus episode with our London Film School editing professor Manos Ioannu. He has been a great inspiration to us throughout our studies and he recommended Nolan's Memento to us as an example of great editing. Besides that we talk about how to get into the film industry and other stuff. Check it out

We hit our first milestone of 10 episodes and boy we love it. Making these podcasts has been great fun during this quarantine and we will continue once we have our lives back. For this special occasion we chose films that have low critical acclaim but we think differently... or do we? follow us on letterbox: https://letterboxd.com/recentlyrated/
We keep saying it but it just is true that this is quite the mix of movies. You will find a delicious slow-burn, a sweet coming-of-age story and the most immediate and important depiction of the relationship between African Americans and the police - have things changed? follow us on letterbox: https://letterboxd.com/recentlyrated/

For this week's episode we chose the topic "Period Piece" to provide a bit more of a framework. As always a good mix of periods depicted and definitely some gems to watch during quarantine
We hit a milestone! Episode 5 already and we love it! Some good variety this week with a Soderbergh Heist in an unusual setting, a detective story of sorts and Ryan Gosling in love with a sex doll. You can find our ratings here: https://letterboxd.com/recentlyrated/
Rob and Flo watched Ruben Östlund's "The Square" (we previously discussed "Force Majeuere by the same director) and due to their high ratings Nathan watched it too and struck up a conversation as to find out why. Only one movie in focus - check it out. You can find our ratings here: https://letterboxd.com/recentlyrated/
We discuss one of the strongest lineups we've had in terms of craftsmanship. Hence the longest episode so far. You can find us on letterbox: https://letterboxd.com/recentlyrated/
The boys are back again to talk about movies. We watched a varied mix from animated documentaries over a big-bucks-period-piece to an utterly human drama comedy - if you can't find any connection points in this line-up then I don't know... Quarantine is a creativity booster (or killer, we try...) Nathan, Rob and Flo present the first episode of their brand new film podcast. It works like this: Everyone recommends a film that the others haven't seen yet, we watch them throughout the week and meet a week later to discuss what we have seen. You can follow us on Letterbox to see the films and our ratings: letterboxd.com/recentlyrated/ We start with Denis Villeneuve's Enemy, Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and Stephen Frears' High Fidelity - Some of our favourites. Bear with us on the first episode, we know that there's room for improvement and we've been working on it every week!
