It was the musical, colorful sensation of the mid-2010s, and it's one of our littlest sib's favorite movies of all time: it's La La Land! Time to go full jazz talk, eventually some Taylor Swift talk because when do we not, and definitely Ryan Gosling piano talk.Music: "Baby You Change Your Mind" by Nouvellas

On this episode of #mensexpleasure, I chat with Andrew Eggelton. Andrew is the world's leading authority on Authentic Presenting. He's the creator and visionary behind 'The Eggelton Presenting Method™', a style of Presenting that re-invents the Speakers Experience, elevating it beyond the tropes of old school copy and paste to a deeper, more spiritual experience for both Presenter and Audience. Over 28 years of devotion to his craft of Presenting, from sleeping in the boot of his car so he could afford lessons, to perpetually touring the world running sold out events and retreats, he dared to dream that one day he could not only be World Class, but redefine what World Class looks like. Through a career of TV, Film and Speaking, working with people like Ryan Gosling, Michael J Fox, Peter Jackson and winning multiple TV awards, he devoted most of this career to discovering what 'Just Be You' actually means when Presenting and how to achieve pure authenticity. He transforms Speakers, aiding them to discover a balance of the Head, which is the technical, and the Heart Brain, which is the feeling. He takes them into a world where the space between the words is as potent as the words themselves and when they do speak, their words match the frequency of their Greatness, an audience, connecting, resonating, feeling the impact of each nuance. The two of us talk about what authenticity looks and feels like not only when presenting and speaking but also when it comes to masculinity and sexuality. Key points: - Andrew shares about his career - “Just be you” vs “fake it until you make it” - Tony Robbins and performance - Not changing state - Speaking in online spaces - Performing masculinity - Overcoming anxiety - Getting into and moving your body - Presence and acceptance - Communicating sexually Relevant links: Andrew's website: https://www.andreweggelton.com/ Andrew's Instagram: @andreweggelton Cam's Patreon: www.patreon.com/thecamfraser
Michael Lewis is one of the most successful non-fiction authors alive. In a series of titles that have sold 9 million copies worldwide, he has lifted the lid on the biggest business stories of our times, enthralling readers with his knack for humanising complex subjects and giving them the page-turning urgency of the best thrillers. Liar's Poker is the cult classic that defined Wall Street during the 1980s; Moneyball was made into a film with Brad Pitt; Boomerang was a breakneck tour of Europe's post-crunch economy; and The Big Short was made into a major Oscar-winning film starring Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell. In November 2017 Lewis came to the Intelligence Squared stage, where he was joined by economics journalist Stephanie Flanders, to discuss his work. Learn more about your ad choices. What a Creep: Robert Durst Season 13, Episode 8 The Jinx Creep! (Kathleen & Robert Durst) In 2015, HBO released a docu-series that took the nation by storm. The first media interview with Robert Durst, the son of billionaire real estate magnate Seymour Durst, in decades at the time. The then 72-year-old Durst has been accused of three murders in his life and seemed to use his money and privilege to avoid any real penalty. The filmmaker Andrew Jarecki was obsessed with Durst's story, so his 2010 film All Good Things starring Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst was inspired by the story of Durst's first marriage Kathie McCormack who disappeared in 1982 and was declared dead in 1990. Since then, he was accused of murder two more times and seemed to be made of Teflon. He is now serving time for first-degree murder and will soon be on trial for the murder of his first wife. Will he make it long enough to face a jury of his peers again? Trigger Warnings: Murder, death by suicide, mental illness, and domestic violence Sources: HBO The Jinx (2015) Without a Trace: Inside the Robert Durst Case by Marion Collins Murder of a Mafia Daughter by Cathy Scott Robert Durst: An ID Murder Mystery (Discovery Channel) Vanity Fair Confidential: Season 1 Episode 2 "The Fugitive Heir" Robert Durst Wikipedia Associated Press Lo Hod.com Robert Durst Timeline Boston Globe Be sure to subscribe wherever you get your podcasts and you will never miss an episode. On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are suiting the hell up and getting our dang groove back in the Glenn Ficarra and John Requa film from 2011, Crazy, Stupid, Love. Here's what I would give to have Ryan Gosling take me to a Beverly Hills shopping center and give me a complete makeover: Either/both of my kidneys. Either/both of Steven's kidneys. My entire life savings. My world-famous lasagna soup recipe. The cure for the common cold. All of my hopes and dreams. My extensive and indisputable research into the existence of a new and terrifying race of otherworldly Bigfoot monsters, otherwise known as Sasqualiens™. Give me a call, Ryan. Let's set this up. My number is 555-ILOVEYOURABS. Look, he dresses up Cal, makes him look like a badass, and gives him the confidence to be his best self. Sure, he sleeps with more people than he might be comfortable with, but by the end, he comes to realize that what he wants most in life is his family back. Jacob falls in love with Hannah (but who hasn't fallen in love with Emma Stone, am I right?), ditches his philandering ways, and learns to appreciate having a steady and loving presence in his life. What we all get out of this is a film that's got a damn hilarious story, crazy rewatch value, and a decent amount of Kevin Bacon. Does it get any better than that? We scratched our heads when Ryan Gosling signed on to play Ken (yes, the doll) and were strangely endeared to Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's couples quiz. We certainly didn't expect Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik's relationship to take such a messy turn or for a pug to take over our TikTok feeds and our hearts. Plus, our favorite TV shows from the month and Zareen's review of (the first 25 minutes of) Dune! Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com

Si & Veronica are “broing” out for episode 186! The rumors AREN'T true when it comes to John Mulaney and Olivia Munn, but we aren't holding our breath. RIP to James Michael Tyler AKA Gunther on “Friends.” Some action figures and dolls are getting a makeover in upcoming movies. Buzz Lightyear will be getting a human origin story next year. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are set to star in a movie about Barbie. Sarah Blakely should get an award for being a baller boss after she gifted all of SPANX's employees with $10,000 and two first class tickets to anywhere in the world. Speaking of awards, the one for wholesome moment of the week should go to Vin Diesel for walking Meadow Walker, the late Paul Walker's daughter, down the aisle at her wedding. Vee went “Yikes!” to Alec Baldwin accidentally firing a prop gun and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust”. Will movies move away from using real firearms? What about our national problem with guns? We are finally in the swing of dates with Michelle's season and they are really sticking with her main selling points of being a teacher and a former DI basketball player. Jamie is coming off kind of cocky and as a pot stirrer towards the end of the episode, so we will have to see how that develops! The essence of Queendom joins Las Cultch today and her name is Vanessa Bayer, alright?! Sure, there are others whom possess Queendom, such as Kim K. and Adele, but neither of them canonically f*cked both Ryan Gosling and Kristen Stewart in SNL sketches. The only real star in the world joins Matt and Bowen to talk SNL shop (read: share what kind of bagels she ordered on Sundays after a show), discuss how exactly her mouth works, and confess to listening to "Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall as a pump-up song before auditions. All this, feet, Vanessa's new show I Love This For You coming to Showtime next year, the iconic "What A Feeling" sequence from the film Flashdance, sibling culture, and a journey to find a good Meredith Marks impression. More intimacy now! The podcast has received critical acclaim. This ep? Is why. Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com
