Gilchrist first interviews ECU undergraduate Serena Mooney who's researching how muscles function under extreme conditions to inform better health care treatment options. Gilchrist then interviews Boys and Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plains Vice president of program initiatives Julie Carey about the importance of offering STEM activities to students at a young age. Gilchrist rounds out the episodes with an interview with ECU College of Business associate professor Dr. April Reed who shares her two-decade long journey in the STEM field.
