In this episode, licensed therapist and organizational consultant Amanda Gilchrist joins us to explore what real support looks like in a hyper-stimulated world. Amanda flips the script on “helping” by reminding us that it's not a leader's—or a therapist's—job to hand out answers. It's to guide, facilitate, and create space so people can hear their own wisdom. We dig into self-investment, the difference between a state change and a trait change, and why trust in ourselves is the foundation for any lasting transformation. We also get practical about presence: how to set boundaries without guilt, why “giving 100%” looks different on different days, and how attunement—not performance—builds healthier relationships at home and at work. If you've ever felt pressure to do it perfectly, this conversation is a permission slip to be intentional instead—show up with what you have, listen for what matters, and let authenticity do the heavy lifting.

Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. Football season is well underway now and the 120th episode is a complete recap of the summer 2025 transfer window. Danny and Jim break down the incomings, outgoings, and more as well as rate the entire window for both Chelsea Football Club and Bayern Munich. Buckle up because this was one of the most crazy windows in recent memory. And don't worry YES we will be streaming the Champions League match between Bayern Munich and Chelsea. As always Chelsea did A LOT of business. Key incomings for Enzo Maresca included. Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Estevao, Buonanotte, Dario Essugo, Andrey Santos, Jorrel Hato, Paez, Penders, and Sarr. Outgoings were Nico Jackson, Broja, Felix, Madueke, Christo, Ugochukwu, Mathis Amougou. Carney, KDH, Matos, Chilwell, Gilchrist, Humphreys, Veiga, Beach, Bergstrom, Bettinelli, Kepa, and Petrovic while players loaned out including partner club Strasburg were Paez, Penders, Sarr, Anselmino, Castledine, Kellyman, Samuels-Smith, Wiley, and Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich of course. Chelsea netted about 5 million euros in profit this window. Pretty impressive business. Bayern Munich's transfer window was less desirable. The club notably struck out on their main transfer target dating back many years Florian Wirtz, other key misses were Nico Williams, Bradley Barcola, and sadly many more. The lack of alignment between the supervisory board, sporting board, and even coaching staff made this a difficult window for Vincent Kompany and the Bavarians. Luckily there were some key incomings including Diaz, Tah, and Bischof. With Nicolas Jackson joining on loan from Chelsea. Sadly Bayern Munich lost key players who are already missed by the club, some of which left on a free transfer including Sane, Dier, and Thomas Muller. Other outgoings were Tel, Coman, Wanner, Aznou, Kratzig, and Vidovic. Players that left on loan were Palhinha, Kusi-Asare, Zaragoza, Peretz, Ibrahimovic, Zvonarek, and Buchmann. It's yet to be seen if this window will improve the squad for the long run but Bayern did net roughly 10 millions euros in addition to massive savings in the wage depart. The football season is just getting started so be sure to subscribe to the Always Bayern Chelsea YouTube channel to stay up to date with all of the upcoming videos, coverage, and news. ✨ Esprit Madridista revient !

Bongani Bingwa speaks to Adam Gilchrist for a whirlwind tour of global headlines in this week’s edition of World View. First, they unpack a landmark development from the UN, where a court ruling now allows nations to sue each other over climate change, raising fresh questions about accountability and international cooperation. Then, attention turns to France, where three cities have imposed night-time curfews on children, igniting debates around public safety, parenting, and state control. Finally, it’s a diplomatic embarrassment in the UK, as London publicly names and shames diplomats who’ve racked up unpaid fines, fueling criticism over diplomatic immunity being used as a free pass. Late last year, the chief people officer for national law firm Gilchrist Connell was announced as the BigLaw player's new chief executive - a role she assumed in July. Here, she reflects on her vocational experience and details how coming from an HR background and wearing “many, many hats” lends well to leading a large legal practice. In this episode of The Lawyers Weekly Show, host Jerome Doraisamy speaks with Gilchrist Connell chief executive Belinda Cohen about her career prior to joining the BigLaw firm five years ago, the work she did as CPO, balancing the proactive and reactive as an HR professional, and how she came to be the firm's CEO. Cohen also discusses the firm's vision as set out by her predecessor, Richard Wood, and how her HR background will assist in furthering that vision, how and why HR professionals are well placed to step into such senior leadership roles, how HR professionals can create such vocational pipelines for themselves, and what excites her moving forward. Garlin Gilchrist II, Michigan's Lieutenant Governor and gubernatorial candidate, shares how his unique background as a software engineer and tech entrepreneur shapes his vision for the state's future. This fascinating conversation reveals how engineering principles can transform governance and policy-making."Being an engineer, you learn to be a problem solver," Gilchrist explains, drawing parallels between fixing broken systems and addressing Michigan's challenges. With experience at Microsoft and multiple tech startups before entering politics, he brings a refreshingly analytical approach to public service rarely found among elected officials.Gilchrist outlines his major accomplishments, including a landmark $250 million investment in affordable housing and establishing 40 mental health clinics statewide through the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Program. His creation of Michigan's automatic criminal record expungement program—the Clean Slate Program—has helped over 330,000 people gain access to jobs, housing, and education opportunities previously denied them because of past mistakes. The conversation delves into Michigan's unique assets: unparalleled engineering talent, abundant natural resources (including 21% of the world's fresh water), and the nation's second most diverse agricultural economy. Gilchrist articulates how these advantages position Michigan for leadership in emerging sectors like clean energy, agricultural technology, and creative industries—if the right leadership is in place.Drawing from personal experience leaving Michigan after college for better opportunities elsewhere, Gilchrist speaks passionately about creating an environment where young talent stays and thrives. "I want everyone to feel, know and experience Michigan being the best place to have an idea," he shares, outlining initiatives like the Michigan Innovation Fund that support local entrepreneurs.Ready to learn more about Gilchrist's vision for Michigan?
