Labor Pains: Dealing with infertility and loss during pregnancy or infancy.
Kristen Probst proudly shares that she has three children, two girls on earth and a child in heaven. She is very open about sharing her miscarriage journey to help support other women and has even gone back to her doctor's office to share information she learned so others have a better miscarriage experience. Her doctor's office instructed her to go home and make herself comfortable and when she felt the miscarriage happening to sit on the toilet and wait for it to come out. Kristen is grateful that she works at The Family Life Center and knew to collect her baby and not flush it away. Inside this episode you will learn: How a Chiropractic adjustment can help with a miscarriage. How to collect your baby. Things to do after the miscarriage to support your healing. Ways to honor yourself and your baby. You're not alone. Lots of women have been there and they just may not have publicly let people know. So tell people what you're going through. Ask for support and don't be afraid to ask for help, like a meal or something. You need that break, you need to take care of yourself. It's not your fault and you just need to cling to God. You know he's got you, he's got your baby and he's going to take care of you. -- Kristen Probst Connect with Teresa: EMAIL: teresa@livingaftergrief.com Facebook https://www.facebook.com/.livingaftergrief/. We revisit an inspiring conversation we had with Rev. Richard Joyner, to start our new year of First in Future. Growing up in Pitt County, Rev. Richard Joyner hated the land of eastern North Carolina, because that’s where he and his 12 brothers and sisters had to spend their summers, working alongside their sharecropping parents. Through the Conetoe Family Life Center, he has brought together Baptist, Muslims, and Unitarians. The Conetoe Center has gone from one congregation in one small town to 21 places in four counties, helping people eat better, provide for their families, learn and understand the math of agriculture (how much they can save for themselves and how much they need to sell.) He also teaches and preaches resilience and optimism to those within the program.
For the last couple of weeks, we’ve been talking about Finish[ing] Well, and the outlet of this emphasis has been our GENEROSITY INITIATIVE to pay off our remaining Family Life Center debt within the next 12 months. Today is the last day of our sermon series, although we’re going to keep Finish Well before you this next year as we track our progress.
We continue the launch of our GENEROSITY INITIATIVE called “Finish Well.” We’re so close to paying off our Family Life Center debt; and I’m challenging us to not lose heart in the home stretch. We’re challenged to look to Jesus not only as the “author and perfecter of faith [the founder and finisher of our faith],” but also as our Example. He showed us what it looks like to “Finish Well” when He “for the joy set before Him endured the cross.”
In this episode of Relentlessly Rural, host Lamar Gilchrist interviews a group of volunteers at the Conetoe Family Life Center just outside of Greenville in Edgecombe County.
