These are candid and vulnerable stories of broken dreams, anger, grief, hope, faith, and joy in the bumpy journey through life after loss. Losing our son Owen Nathaniel unexpectedly at almost 32 weeks of a "textbook", perfectly healthy pregnancy changed our lives forever. Though he is no longer here for us to raise along with our other two children, he is Still My Son. We are sharing stories of stillbirth and pregnancy complications to spread awareness, empower expectant parents and further our mission to end preventable stillbirth in memory of our son.
Our children who were born still were STILL born & their lives very much matter. I am honored to have our Executive Director of PUSH for Empowered Pregnancy, Samantha, on to share her daughter's story & how she continues inspiring her, & all of us at PUSH, to continue pushing for change. Alana suddenly died two days before her due date after a perfectly healthy pregnancy. There's so much heartbreak in this story as well as hope for the future because of all that Samantha is doing to empower other families & create change in the system to make sure others do NOT have to lose a child to get good care. Please listen until the end to hear how you can make a difference! You can also help us spread our empowered pregnancy tips by reposting @pushpregnancy posts whenever you can, so you can help us save babies in memory of all of ours.
A dad's perspective is not often heard, so when Chloe offered to have her husband, Adam, share Adalyn's story tonight I was so excited. The way they both pour out their love for Addie into helping support bereaved families with their non-profit Adalyn Rose Foundation (IG @adalynrosefoundation or https://adalynrosefoundation.com) just makes my heart overwhelmed with gratitude. This world needs people like Addie's parents. Despite their own pain, they are a light in the darkness for others.
