In this Wednesday Q&A episode of The Wright Report, Bryan breaks down the secret CIA-led operation that pulled President Trump off Air Force One and into a decoy jet after credible intelligence of an Iranian assassination plot in Turkey. Bryan answers listener questions on a wave of strong economic data for blue-collar workers, a newly discovered mega-deposit of tungsten in Nevada, and a tight Indiana state legislative recount that flipped on just a handful of votes. He also covers a mysterious drone swarm probing the US base at Diego Garcia and Britain's discovery that Chinese-made cameras were secretly built into Royal Navy surveillance drones. Plus, Bryan covers newly resurfaced comments from Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed affirming his obedience to Sharia law over secular obligations, a new White House rule barring federally funded scientists from partnering with Chinese researchers, and his theory on why Democratic Socialism keeps taking root in America's wealthiest big cities. In this week's episode the Powell's discuss a recent road trip to the hometown of our fathers. #Whitakers #NorthCarolina is a town in northeastern NC that time has left behind. Its a rural hamlet that lost its lifeline when the interstate was built, like many thriving small towns along the highways and byways of America prior to the Interstate highway system being built. #I95 #I10#I301 #I5 #I75 #i90 have connected large swaths of the country but have been a bane to small town America. The guys also say goodbye to #NBA coach #DonNelson , or #Nellie as he was affectionately known. There was a major earthquake in #Colombia . We hope the survivors of the #ColombianEarthquake recover soon. Former NBA star #BenSimmons is talking comeback. Ohhhhkayy. There is some ridiculousness happening with for NBA player #EnesKantor who wants to enter the #WNBADraft . What a loser.

Calvin Betton, George Bellshaw and James Gray are back with another look at the week in tennis. This week: the doubles fightback starts in Washington, more Masters 1000 withdrawal fallout, the 2028 Olympic schedule is announced, the most epic Davis Cup finish ever, and three new tour title-winners. Here's what they discussed **** Washington tournament owner Mark Ein has been doing the media rounds this week (including a stop on Ben Rothenberg's Bounces), and it caught our ear when he declared himself a doubles superfan. Ein says Washington has gone as far as almost any tournament to promote doubles, including proactively engineering eye-catching pairings rather than leaving it to chance His pitch: nothing beats watching top players mixing it up in doubles on a 1,500–3,000 seat side court, right on top of the crowd. He acknowledges the counter-argument other tournaments make that doubles soaks up a lot of prize money, but argues the format needs to "add unique value" to earn its keep. Washington will live mic doubles players again this year, the third year running. Tournament director Valerie Tetreault has called for change after both Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic pulled out of the Canadian Masters 1000, a repeat of last year, when both skipped Toronto. Tetreault is disappointed but understanding of the players' need to prioritise health given the schedule. Her broader point is that repeated last-minute withdrawals from Masters 1000s raise a real issue for the sport, since fans "rightfully expect to see the world's best compete." She's calling for adjustments to better protect the integrity of Masters 1000 events. In this next installment of our Euphoria graduates series, we turn to Barbie Ferreira, who played the fan-favorite Kat Hernandez in seasons 1 and 2 (aka the good seasons) of Sam Levinson's HBO series. While her former classmates, Nate and Cassie, have moved on to big-budget flicks (some of them blunders), Barbie as claimed a throne for herself as the Indie Queen reigning over the festival circuit. Set in 2011, MILE END KICKS (2025) is a full-throttle journey back to the Millennial golden age - when Indie Sleaze ruled the clothing racks, startphones were a coveted luxury, cute guys wore skinny jeans, and Indie Rock topped the charts. Barbie Ferreira stars as Grace, a struggling music critic in her early 20s who travels to Montreal for the summer to write her book about Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill. There she meets aspiring Indie rockers, Bone Patrol, and gets romantically involved with two of the band members. Hijinks and horrible decisions ensue culminating in the stark truth that just because these indie boys may convey depth, they can be no less stupid than their jock counterparts. SITC all-star guest star Cecilia Conti joins Torie for this nostalgic trip back in time that's so on-the-nose it's uncanny, especially for Torie who recalls her days as an American Apparel-wearing hipster in the Chicago garage rock scene, her time singing in a band, the plethora of guitar-wielding indie boys she dated, and all the pitfalls of being a girl in your early 20s in the 2010s.

Mike runs a solo Coffee Time Kicks episode and sits down with a friend of the show, Jason Faustino, Senior Director of Energy at Saucony. Fresh off the brand's Paris preview, Jason breaks down how Saucony builds its creative world: why knowing exactly who you are beats chasing anyone else, how collaborations really get vetted (it comes down to chemistry and gut), and how a small team stays two years out on product while making it look effortless. They get into the Westside Gun partnership and the passing of the torch from Jae Tips, why Jason sees himself as working for the artists as much as the brand, the Ride 1 revival, the slow-burn rise of the Guide 7, and a Crystal Caves colorway coming back on the Triumph 4. CrossPolitic — Show Notes: America's 250th Birthday Special On this Fourth of July special, Gabe, Pastor Toby, Knox, and Steve Deace gather to mark America's 250th birthday — not with blind celebration, but with honest reckoning and confident hope. Gabe walks through 15 ways America has been conquered not by guns but by cultural war, from forgetting its Christian founding to pastors who preached niceness over faithfulness. Steve calls for revival-or-bust thinking and eulogizes Charlie Kirk's missional courage. Knox opens Nehemiah and calls for four months of mourning, fasting, and repentance before the wall gets built. And Toby reminds us that the same God who marched slaves out of Egypt with Pharaoh's chariots sinking behind them is still Lord of armies — and he doesn't need our numbers.
