We're back! Episode 14, with a new and improved intro, features Dr. Brian Potts - percussionist extraordinaire. Brian is one of the most sought after percussionists in Miami, and has created a super unique niche for himself as an artist in town and abroad. We discuss his journey from classical percussion, to his passion for Brazilian music, marching at Carnival, and his founding of Miami Bloco.

Episode 13 features drummer, and UM alum, Miguel Merino. Miguel talks about his journey to Egypt, developing his playing on the Lyre, and starting his band Otaak. He has become fully immersed in the Egyptian musical language, as well as speaking the language fluently. Professional Boxer, Manny "Sweet Dreams" Correa 9-0 (6KO), sits down with The Glue Pod to discuss his boxing career, how he got started, his training style, and his recent venture into becoming a trainer himself. Fabio Patiño, better known as the artist Fabi, joins The Glue Pod to discuss his upcoming show at the North Beach Bandshell. The episode dives into his transition from Mexico to Miami, his beginnings as a drummer pushing a cart of gear around Miami Beach, to his now strong standing in the city both as a drummer, and a vocalist. The Glue Pod sits down with one of Miami's most sought after bands, Afrobeta. They go into the history of the unground music scene in Miami, how it has changed, and their music making process from live gigs to studio sessions. Be sure to check out their latest release, Illusion Motel. 

The Glue Pod episode 5 features Orlando-based band, Leisure Chief. The interview does a deep dive into the making of their new record, Cosmic Comics, the Orlando music scene, and what their plans are for the future. 

In the 4th installment of The Glue Pod, Aaron interviews Miami-based keyboardist/songwriter/vocalist Gene Gayol. They cover Gene's time in Los Angeles, the differences between LA and Miami, his time touring with Latin Pop Artist Diego Torres, and Gene's songwriting placements with other Latin Pop Artists. 

Episode 3 of The Glue Pod features Bare Knuckle Boxer, Jose "The Goat" Fernandez. Jose and host, Aaron Glueckauf, have a long standing relationship going back to Aaron's earliest boxing training sessions. Jose was a boxing trainer at Tropical Park who had a nice amateur boxing career, including a state Golden Glove Championship. Jose made his Bare Knuckle Boxing debut during the pandemic at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Follow along as the two dive deep into what Bare Knuckle Fighting is all about, Jose's journey through the fight game, and how fighting affected his life. 

The Glue Pod Episode 2 features undefeated professional Heavy Weight boxer, Raphael Akpejiori. This episode dives into Raphael's history as an athlete, including his tenure as a University of Miami Basketball player, as well as football player. He also details his life in Nigeria and how he came to the United States. Akpejiori is a fascinating athlete, and has a great story. 

The debut episode of The Glue Pod features Miami based band Electric Kif.  The guys get together and talk about their writing process, recording, funny stories from the road, and what it means to be a band. They also talk about their upcoming record, which comes out this Summer (first single April).
