Sometimes, a discussion about The GOAT can be polarizing. Whether it's an athlete, a writer, an actor, a musician, or any other professional, judging the Greatest Of All Time is an inherently subjective endeavor. When it comes to cheese, though, it's easier, especially when GOAT is in the actual name of the cheese. In this episode of Inside Trader Joe's, we talk to our resident cheese expert about Goat Cheese, and we travel to Wisconsin to talk to the folks who start with goat's milk from local farmers and make the chevre magic happen. It's a blaaaaast! Transcript (PDF)
The band quit America's 250th birthday, so he crowned himself the GOAT. A judge froze Trump's $1.8 billion self-suing slush fund. His AG sat behind a closed, unfilmed door and dodged the Epstein question five times. An AI says his heart is fourteen years younger than he is. He told Fox he "left Iran's military alone," after two months of bragging he destroyed it, then admitted "we shouldn't have been in Iran." He shoved his own MAGA critics into an AI clown car. Candace Owens wants him in a home. The East Wing is rubble, there's a UFC cage on the South Lawn, and Trump wants a force field over the building he sits in.It's...a lot. Who’s the Survivor GOAT Preview Rob Cesternino and Mike Bloom kick off a brand new debate series asking the ultimate question: who is the greatest Survivor player of all time? With emotions still high after Survivor 50's dramatic finale and Aubry's stunning vote-off of Cirie—declaring her the “greatest Survivor player of all time”—Rob and Mike set the stage for a five-part showdown of Survivor legends. Who truly deserves a spot on the Mount Rushmore of Survivor, and could Cirie bump a legend off the list? This episode lays the groundwork for a season-long journey to identify the Survivor G.O.A.T. After acknowledging the fan fervor surrounding players like Boston Rob Mariano, Parvati Shallow, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Tony Vlachos, and Cirie Fields, Rob and Mike promise a no-holds-barred debate. Each week, they'll flip a coin to decide who defends or critiques a legend, drawing on decades of Survivor gameplay, blindsides, and strategy. The hosts tease deep dives into legendary runs, like Cirie's multi-season performances, and discuss whether two-time winner Tony deserves the title after conquering “Winners at War.” They also touch on fan-favorite near-misses, with Richard Hatch and Russell Hantz getting their due as foundational players who just miss the top tier. – Aubrey's emotional Survivor 50 move and her praise for Cirie – The final short-list for Survivor's “Mount Rushmore” (Boston Rob, Parvati, Sandra, Tony, Cirie) – Unique debate format: coin flips to decide who argues for or against each G.O.A.T. contender – The fan voting system that puts the ultimate decision in viewers' hands – Honorable mentions and the legacy of early icons like Richard Hatch Who will survive the scrutiny, and could Cirie finally claim the definitive G.O.A.T. title after fifty seasons? Will Tony's “Winners at War” dominance hold up against fan-favorite finesse and legendary underdog stories? Don't miss this inaugural debate as Survivor 50's biggest legends are put to the test—join Rob and Mike on the quest to crown the greatest Survivor of all time! Ben and Tumaini come together after one of the most shocking matches of our tennis lifetimes, with prohibitive favorite Jannik Sinner taking a commanding 6-3, 6-2, 5-1 lead before promptly stopping winning points and games, ultimately listlessly falling in five sets to Juan Manuel Cerundolo. This episode has two big components: what happened to Sinner and why, and what's left of the field without him. Somebody else, stunningly, is going to win the 2026 French Open. But whom? Recorded: May 27th 2026 | Welcome to the first episode of Racin' With The Boys. For the first episode, we thought we'd give you guys two of the top drivers in NASCAR, Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace. The guys start off the show about asking Bubba what it is like driving for one of the GOAT's in all of sports, Michael Jordan. Bubba and Blaney get into what is like driving for two of the premier teams in the sport in 23XI and Team Penske. Bubba gets into how cool it is to be driving the 23 car for Michael Jordan and how it can be difficult at times racing against the other owner of the team, Denny Hamlin. Bubba and Ryan are really good friends and talk what it was like coming up through the ranks of NASCAR together and racing each other when they were kids. The guys get into what race preparation looks like each week and how much actually goes into getting ready for every week. Ryan gives his thought on how the new NASCAR playoff, "The Chase", is better than the previous playoff format as it rewards consistency rather luck. Will and Taylor then have some fun with the guys asking what they get their crew members each year for Christmas, let's just say, the boys need to get better at gift giving. Bubba has a wild take by saying "Talladega Nights" is a terrible movie and thinks it paints all the drivers as dumb rednecks. The boys then end the pod talking about how tough it was losing Kyle Busch suddenly. Each of them pay their respects and say how much he meant to them and how it still doesn't feel real. Shohei Ohtani continues to do things no one has ever seen before. For the second straight week, Ohtani hit a leadoff home run on the day he pitched, becoming the only starting pitcher in MLB history to do it in back-to-back games. He now ranks 3rd in Dodgers history for career leadoff homers in less than 2.5 years. On the mound, he delivered another strong outing, lowering his ERA to an incredible 0.82! That's the 4th lowest through 9 starts since earned runs became an official stat in 1913. We also dive into: - Ohtani's fiery emotions on the mound (including some loud F-bombs) - His insane two-way dominance compared to Babe Ruth - Why we should never take for granted what Shohei is doing right now Chapters 0:00 Intro 0:41 Shohei Keeps Making History 1:24 Shohei Ohtani Leadoff Homerun 4:48 Shohei Ohtani 6 No-Hit Innings 11:01 Shohei Ohtani is the GOAT 14:04 Outro Learn more about your ad choices. In the first hour of Stokely and Evans with Mark Schlereth, Jared Bednar is still the head coach of the Avalanche and the guys wonder if this means he’s here to stay. Mike marvels at Shohei Ohtani’s performance against the Rockies last night. Are we witnessing the GOAT? The guys discuss how important Jarrett Stidham’s relationship with Bo is to the Broncos as Mike makes a crazy pitch for the Broncos’ backup. News is coming out about the severity of Cale Makar’s shoulder injury but is it any excuse for how the Avalanche lost in the Western Conference Finals? Mike and Stoke wrap up the first hour by losing a bet and talking about Bat Boy.
A super great paragraph from the chapter this week. The greatest have a different view of success and failure that the rest of the world. The world sees failure as a personal setback, a chink in the armor of success. The master sees failure as an important part of progress, just like the cartoonist Stephen McCranie said, "the master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried. Nate Bargatze joined us today to talk about his new movie The Breadwinner & revealed new details about his Theme Park development Nateland in Nashville. He talked about roller-coaster shopping, his first red carpet premiere, and what the GOAT appetizer is at a chain restaurant. Count how many times he says 'uh' and you could win a prize! We kicked off our Funner Summer Challenge today, forcing each other to have an epic summer by doing things like throw a keg party, see 10+ shows, have sex on the beach, and pull an all nighter. The first wheel spin forced Ally to try a new drug, which is going to be difficult if she gets pregnant soon... We also talked to the guy who created the controversial Ozzy Osbourne AI Hologram. He swears it's classy, state-of-the-art, and not a threat to Ozzy's legacy. The call ended badly when Ally attempted to do her terrible Ozzy Osbourne impression. Petty Claims Court was VERY interactive today as a man accused his girlfriend of asking him to bring her things as soon as he sits down to relax. Listeners quickly branded Karla a "Latina T3000 Terminator" and a "Toxica Torta" and things only progressed from there.
Ben and Tumaini wrap up the first round at this 2026 French Open, where it's been very hot and a bunch of the top 10 seeds haven't looked so hot, particularly on the men's side. On the women's side, the car crashes have somehow been literal, but Naomi Osaka's fashion moment was a big hit in all the best ways. We basked in some amazing news before this great episode! The main topic was a breakdown of one of the most important elements of performance and health: blood volume. Studies show that blood volume can seem to act as a synonym for fitness, with one finding that 6 weeks of training gains can be reversed with a phlebotomy that returns blood volume to baseline levels. Positive adaptations can happen in a few days, and it clearly matters for performance. If any other intervention worked like that, you'd assume everyone would be talking about it all the time. But blood volume is not discussed often! We pull back the curtain on the science. We also talked about a new review article on exogenous lactate supplementation. It might be a brave new world in the next 5 years, but right now there are more questions than answers. We speculate! And this one was full of cool topics! Other topics: the shockingly good news Megan has received in recent heart tests, our disdain for the Enhanced Games, recent age group doping news, the Satisfy Circle Pit, the true GOAT of endurance, running v. biking, uphill treadmill workouts, and lots more.Yes, David actually hit himself for a joke on this episode. Survivor Global returns as Shannon Gus and special guest Chappell dig into the chaotic and polarizing endgame of Survivor 50. With the milestone season just wrapped, Shannon and Chappell don't hold back on their takes, breaking down why Survivor 50 lands in a complicated spot in the series rankings. Was this season a missed opportunity or a bold, legacy-defining ride? The duo debate production's impact, the twists that shaped the late game, and the strategic choices that define this unforgettable finale. On this episode of Survivor Global, Shannon and Chappell dissect Survivor 50's pivotal tribal maneuvers, the controversial “beastwear” coin flip twist, and a predictable-yet-layered finale. They spotlight Rizo's underappreciated game, Aubry's journey to victory, and the multi-faceted legacy of Cirie. From fiery jury debates to awkward reunion moments, no stone is left unturned. The hosts weigh in on shifting alliance structures, how production's choices favored (or hampered) big moves, and where Aubry's win fits among new era Survivor legends. Emotional highlights, like Devens' heartfelt farewell under the Fijian stars and Ozzy's raw confessional about his own misplay, frame what makes this season memorable, even as questionable twists create frustration for superfans. Key moments discussed: – The “beastwear” coin flip and why it divides the fanbase – Rizo's strategic pivot and why his subtle moves may be underrated – The impact of production-driven twists on both gameplay and viewer engagement – Cirie's enduring legend status, plus a comprehensive ranking of her eight reality show appearances – The reunion's infamous live blunder and what it says about the show's evolving format Will twists continue to overwhelm Survivor's tribal politics, or can the open era find a balance between unpredictability and genuine gameplay? How do players like Aubry and Rizo navigate jury perception amid evolving win conditions? Ben and Tumaini keep everyone's favorite annual episode title going strong with a look at the draws for the 2026 French Open, where Jannik Sinner is a prohibitive favorite against an uninspiring men's field and the women's side seems far more up for grabs. Can anyone stop Sinner? If so, whom? And who could even make it out of the bottom half? On the women's side, we discuss Sabalenka, Swiatek, and a recent video involving Leylah Fernandez and her coach. We also discuss the media "protest" that players staged during media days, with varying degrees of successful stagecraft. Then to wrap up, we chat about our dear departed friend Howard Fendrich, the longtime AP tennis reporter who passed away this week. (You can read Ben's tribute to Howard here.)
