Welcome to the first-ever Bachelor Fashion Podcast! If you love The Bachelor or fashion (or both!) then this is the show for you. In each episode, a guest and I will give our takes on the outfits featured that week on The Bachelor/Bachelorette. I'll describe the outfits, discuss what I love and what I don't love, and talk about current fashion trends and how they fit into the show. Share your thoughts about the outfits with me on Instagram: @A_Bachelor_Fashion_Podcast and @emma_anne_sorensen
I'm back after a brief break last week, reviewing the looks from episode 8 of BIP. This week I discuss the many different men's florals and which ones I like most and why. I give my thoughts on Demi's many bold necklaces, Natasha's many bold prints, and the one green button-up shirt that all the women are sharing more and more each week. I talk about a few looks that I've seen many people talking about but they didn't stand out to me in the beginning, like Tammy's white rose ceremony dress and Becca's yellow dress. And at the end, Natasha and Dr. Joe's sort of matching ensembles on their date. - Rate and review! Share with all of your fashion-loving, Bachelor-loving, and Bachelor-judging friends. In this episode I discuss the fashion in episodes 4 and 5 of Bachelor in Paradise. I talk about the unexpected shirt design that made me really happy, Joe's gold wrestler pants, Connor's glorious orange ensemble, and the trend that was in a lot of the women's rose ceremony dresses. I also share who I think wore the identical skirt and top set better, out of Mari and Kendall. I tell how I would make some of the men's cocktail party outfits more fashionable, and I get passionate about the necklace that Chasen gifts Deandra. - Rate and review! This week I review the looks from this week's episodes 2 and 3 from Bachelor in Paradise. I discuss how many dresses at the Rose Ceremony are pink or red, or have chain straps, Serena and Thomas' "matching" outfits, my favorite coverups, and the ongoing of leopard print. Near the end, I also share what guy's fashion statement I do not like. - Check out the Instagram and let me know what was your favorite or what you hated. This week I am joined again by my friend Myra Kahn, as we review the fashion from week one of Bachelor In Paradise! We talk about all the women's two-piece sets, what we like and don't like in tropical prints, how it was nice to see "Goddess" Victoria looking more low-key, Kelsey calling Joe "Gym Joe" and yet Aaron looking like the real gym bro, and so much more! It's refreshing how simple reviewing these was than a typical season. - Follow on IG for the reference photos! - Send me a sound bite with your opinions on one of the looks to have it featured on the next episode! - Rate and review! This week I cover the looks from Katie's finale and After The Final Rose. I talk about Katie's terribly-styled first outfit with the pink T-shirt, crappy tennis shoes, and chunky diamond necklace. I go into the white versus black of the nearly identical dresses that she wore this season, Tayshia and Kaitlyn's final hosting looks and how they are far better than their AFR ones, and Katie's very specifically chosen final green dress. I also make some interesting and unfortunate comparisons with white Katie's AFR dress. - Rate and review! Share with all of your Bachelor-loving and Bachelor-judging friends. This week I review the mostly awful fashion on week 9 of Katie's season. Most notably the small pink shrug-like cardigan. Why is Katie covering up every cute dress with a such boring cardigans?! I do give some unpopular opinions, where I don't hate some things quite as much as other people do. For example, my thoughts on her white pompom cable-knit sweater. I also talk about how her makeup is also looking just as juvenile as her clothes. Basically, between the poorly done eyeliner and the cardigans it looks like she's a 12 year old in 2008. Or maybe a grandma... The whole thing is a bummer. - Send me a sound bite with your opinions on one of the looks, and I'll put it in the next episode. - Rate and review! After taking a month off to heal from a skull fracture and brain injury (TW for the first one minute), I AM BACK to review weeks 4 - 8/MTA. And while I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, I'm gonna blame the fact that I sort of struggle to clearly put thoughts together in this episode, on the fact that my brain is still healing.
This week I am joined by my friend Christina Chambers as we review the looks from episode 3 of Katie's season. We discuss how Tayshia and Kaitlyn keep stealing attention away from Katie, how casual of styles men can get away with, wishing men would accessorize more, Katie's giant gray jacket and not-so-flattering silver dress, being over skinny jeans and flannels, and once again, how pink is not Katie's color. - Send me a sound bite with your opinions on one of the looks to have it featured on the next episode! - Rate and review! This week I am joined by my sister Amber as we discuss the looks from week 2 of Katie's season of The Bachelorette! Enjoy me fumbling over the intro. Find out who Amber thinks looks like a movie theater usher, who's name makes me think of leprechauns, and what Katie's fishnet-topped dress reminded Amber of. We also discuss how good of a job Cary Fetman does with choosing things that will look good on camera (18:15), and how it's nice this week to not have to talk about the guy's clothes when there's not much to say. And on the flip side, you can enjoy the best chunk of the episode (21:00 - 29:30), where I share my HEATED opinions on the women's cowgirl looks! Enjoy me trying very hard not to swear when sharing how I feel about Kaitlyn's denim jumpsuit. - Send me a sound bite with your opinions on one of the looks to have it featured on the next episode! - Rate and review! In this episode I am joined by Claire Raymond @livingwithclaireity to discuss all the looks from night one of The Bachelorette! We talk about Tayshia and Kaitlyn's near matching dresses as the current hosts (including who we think was better dressed). We also discuss the fit of Katie's dress, David's unfortunate high pants fluke, Marty's interesting jewelry, Connor's cat costume, the human equivalent of a golden retriever, Landon, and the vast levels of formality in the mens outfits. - Send me a sound bite with your opinions on one of the looks to have it featured on the next episode! - Rate and review! In this episode, me and my sister Bridget break down the looks that Katie has had for all the promotional content for the new season. We talk about Katie's purple skirt that I haven't heard anybody like, her purple princess dress, her pink suit, and the only one we really liked, the black jumpsuit. We talk about the budget, hair extensions, and the scarily over-edited main promotional photo. You can enjoy me butchering the brand names, and see just how long me and my sister can silently laugh before we need to breathe again. - Don't forget to send me sound bites of the looks you love from night one so they can be featured on the next episode! - Rate and review! This week I am joined by Janelle Arreola who is a celebrity stylist and styling assistant! She's worked on photoshoots for Vogue with Hailey Bieber, music videos for Nicki Minaj, and styled Hannah Ann and Tayshia from the Bachelor franchise for ad campaigns! She talks about what it was like working with Tayshia, we discuss how low the production value seems for the upcoming season, the styling process for different kinds of events, how she got started in the industry, how to accessorize for different types of situations, and she gives her advice for always looking your best! Also, you can see just how many times is socially acceptable (no not) for me to say “thank you." This was such a fun and informative episode about the fashion industry! - Please rate and review! This episode is all about how fashion stylist Cary Fetman and makeup artist Gina Modica do their jobs on the show. I listened to and read several interviews that they've done and compiled all of it into this episode. I talk about Fetman's process in the weeks leading up to the show, what goes into choosing the Bachelorette's night one dress, the balance there is between letting the lead wear what they love and choosing their outfits, their close relationships that form with the lead, and how the makeup the Bachelorette wears sometimes depends on her relationships with contestants. - Rate and review so I can improve the show! WE'RE BACK! Everyone is missing The Bachelor during this hiatus so we're throwing it back to night ONE of Matt James' season. I am joined by the lovely Kelly Johns who was such a joy to have on the podcast! Though we have pretty different styles, one thing Kelly and I did agree on was that Victoria and Katie's dresses look cheap, dated, and kinda tacky. We discuss whether we prefer things to be detailed or simple and elegant (I'll let you guess who liked which
This episode switches gears a little bit and instead of focusing only on The Bachelor, this is a casual conversation that I had with Myra Khan (@myrakhan123) after we recorded a previous episode together. We talk about how fashion needs to be a mix of trendy pieces and unique pieces that reflect your personality. I plug my fashion idol (@vincerossi). We touch on what it's like to love fashion but have to adjust to a disabled body, and we discuss that balance of wearing what you love versus wearing what looks good on you. We mention disabled model (@briscalesse) who never lets her disability stop her from wearing the clothes she loves and how powerful that is in the fashion industry. And taking it back to The Bachelor, we talk a little bit about how we are not judging the women, (only their clothes), and we're leaving the gossip and drama to all the other podcasts. We're only about the fashion, baby! - Share with all of your friends who are missing The Bachelor during this hiatus! For this episode, I have on another sister, a third (but not final) sister, Shannon! This week we discuss the few looks from After The Final Rose, including Emmanuel Acho's suit looking like it's gonna bust at the seams and Matt James' weird racing flag tie... We get into what it means to wear the right type of outfit to convey a certain message, and how if your clothes aren't working in tandem with your message, people can feel that disconnect and aren't as receptive. We also briefly touch on how to experiment with wearing pink if it is clearly not your color *cough cough*, Katie. And even tho Bri was cut from the AFR episode, but we also talk about her dress and her style a little bit. All the reference photos will be saved in a highlight on my IG @A_Bachelor_Fashion_Podcast - This season of The Bachelor may be over but the podcast is not! I will be going back to cover episodes 1-5 that I missed, and then I am going to review Clare/Tayshia's season. This week my sister Bridget joins me for the Bachelor Finale! Rachael finally had a look I didn't hate! But, the women who make it to the final two always get their look styled by a professional, so of course it was better. We discuss Matt's jacket that looks like it's from the future, the looks that I feel are too simple to even judge, but are right up Bridget's alley, and how Rachael is far more cute with her hair not tucked behind her ears! In this episode we laugh way too hard about things that are probably not that funny, but it was late and we were tired. (Also, if you catch the musical quote that we threw in there, you are my new best friend!) The season may be over but this podcast is far from done! I am going to go back and review the looks from episodes 1 - 5, I have some bonus material about fashion in general, and I am probably going go back and do Clare/Tayshia's season. Let me know what you'd like to hear on the podcast now that Matt's season is over! IG: @A_Bachelor_Fashion_Podcast - Please rate and review! This week I am joined by my sister Amber, who I watch The Bachelor with each week. This podcast episode has a good banter that builds on my yelling at the women through the TV regarding their fashion choices. We talk about Matt's plaid suits (that remind Amber of a childhood literary throwback that had me laughing so hard), and Rachael's weird "rib split detail" shirt, and Bri's puffy black coat that Amber gave an unlikely and hilarious comparison to that I'll never get over. We briefly discuss Clare's many halter tops last season, and for a moment we take it back to last week, when Heather was totally "Mike Wazowski-ed" out of the WTA! This is a funny one! - Please rate and review! Women Tell… very little, really. But their outfits were fun! This week I was joined by Myra Khan, a good friend of mine, who's sense of style is night and day from my own but that I absolutely love. We talk about current fashion trends that she loves and that I don't totally get. Are we over snake skin or still loving it? Myra is here for the hoops that I am often hating on, and I love Jessenia's bold color choices, where she'd rather see a neutral. We laugh about how my our favorite and least favorite outfits are polar opposite, this is one you're not gonna want to miss! - Share this with all of your Bachelor-loving and Bachelor-judging friends, and be sure to rate, review, and subscribe so you don't miss an episode! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/emma-sorensen/message
Hoops, hoops, and more hoops! Apparently the only earrings worth wearing now, we see nothing but them this entire episode. I discuss Matt and Michelle's matching pastels, how I think Matt looks in pastels vs jewel tones, and how contrast works in some outfits and not so much in others... Rachael's ripped pink tie-dye sweater, for example, was not so good, whereas Bri's Rose Ceremony dress had a contrast that worked beautifully. - Share with all of your Bachelor-loving or Bachelor-judging friends, rate, review, and subscribe so you don't miss an episode! Matt's surprise sparkly shoes (did you catch them?), TONS of little black dresses, and the Rose Ceremony looks of this seasons top 5! There was only a few standout outfits this week for me, so I break down many outfits that I wasn't a big fan of and why. And it will come as no surprise to anyone that Bri's knee-high snakeskin boots were one of my favorite parts of this week! - Rate, Review, and Subscribe so you don't miss an episode of this new podcast, and please share with all of your Bachelor-loving or Bachelor-judging friends! Welcome to the first real episode! I discuss the women's loungewear that they wear while they scream at each other, the awkward bowling shirts and how I would make them look a little cuter, how Chelsea wears the same basic dress every week, and Kit's multiple outfits that reminded me of fine art. - Subscribe so you don't miss an episode of this new show, and share with all your Bachelor-loving friends. @A_Bachelor_Fashion_Podcast --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/emma-sorensen/message
