Osher Günsberg has been one of the most recognisable people on Australian television. The face of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, The Masked Singer, and Australian Idol, he’s been in our living rooms for over two decades. But TV has changed. The work slowed. And suddenly, one of the most familiar faces in the country found himself scrambling to pay the mortgage. In this episode of No Filter, Osher sits down with Kate Langbroek for a raw and revealing conversation about what happens when the cameras stop rolling. He opens up about the financial strain of losing multiple prime-time jobs, the reality of hustling for gigs to make ends meet, and the ego hit that comes with watching an industry move on without you. Osher also speaks openly about his ongoing mental health journey and the therapy that’s helped him survive some of his darkest moments. You can follow Osher and find his book, So What? Now What? here. If this conversation brought up any hard feelings for you - please seek help. Sam Frost doesn’t do warm-ups. She knew her partner Jordie was the one from the very beginning, and so, they quickly became parents. That set the tone for everything that followed. If you’ve only ever known Sam as the Bachelorette or from Home and Away, you'll realise she's got the energy of someone who is grounded and incredibly open. She talks through the chaos of early pregnancy, a scare right before baby Teddy was due, and the big mistake Jordie made in the delivery room. There’s also a really honest conversation about mental health, seeing a psych before birth, and why trying to “get it right” as a parent isn’t nearly as important as learning how to repair when you don’t. Hi friends, happy Wednesday! For some reason, female nudity feels *way* more common than male nudity. In pop culture at least, we're way more used to seeing women being naked and sexualized. Think how many times you see titties on tv. And then think about how everyone loses their minds when there's a penis on HBO or White Lotus. It's rare! Back in the 1950s, it was only men who had bachelor parties. Bachelorette parties? Not a thing. In those days, women would have bridal showers. And men got to have their wild night out. But by the 70s, feminism was going strong. Women were feeling a little more liberated. They wanted equality, and that meant that we wanted bachelorette parties, baby. Like, we want exactly what the guys are having. And this story is really about a few guys being in the right place at the right time. Because they started something over in Los Angeles that overlapped with the rise of porn, *and* female empowerment. Because what do you need for the perfect bachelorette party? Booze, penis straws and… strippers. Hot, naked, dancing men. I appreciate you for coming by, and tune in next week for more Dark History. I sometimes talk about my Good Reads in the show. As the school year winds down, Dr. Naomi gets all sentimental about her daughter making “core female friendships” and she and Jordana unpack why having your girl gang matters. In the Overshare, one single Betch has officially had it with the relationship interrogations at every brunch, wedding, and wine night and is looking for a polite way to say: mind your business. Then a Betchicist voicemail dives into the post-divorce awkward Olympics, as one listener tries to figure out if her mom and ex-stepdad can be in the same room without it turning into a Real Housewives reunion brawl. Dr. Naomi sets an intention for those catch-up convos that take a hard left into passive-aggressive hell and another listener spirals when her friend announces she's having another baby... with a husband who might actually be the final boss of red flags. And to top it all off: the last Triggered tackles the crime of being asked to chip in for a Bachelorette party you aren't even invited to. The audacity! Learn more about your ad choices.
