Can changing the way you dress change your business? Jessica Papineau has plenty of evidence to suggest the answer is yes! Jessica is the Founder of CSJ, a leading styling company for high-performing female entrepreneurs. With over 25 years in the fashion industry, she teaches women how to use fashion to serve their purpose, boost their confidence, and elevate their image.  Jessica has styled hundreds of women, from moms struggling to dress their postpartum bodies to executives seeking to level up their careers and seven-figure entrepreneurs. A thought leader in fashion styling, her insights have been featured in various print publications and media outlets. Jessica is committed to empowering women to elevate their style and transform their careers, relationships, and lives. Dress for the Life You Want Jessica follows a four-part process with all of her clients, the first step being to review and reflect. She asks her clients to think about what they want in their life and envision those possibilities. Once they know the person they want to become, the next step is to ask how that person dresses. How do they show up in the world?  The most common styling pitfall Jessica sees is that people are stuck in the past. Instead of imagining their future, they relive the same thoughts over and over again–and their wardrobes reflect that. Instead, Jessica encourages her clients to focus on that future version of themselves and the life they want to attract.  The transformations are incredible: her clients become a magnet for the people and opportunities they want. Their relationships deepen, they get a promotion at work, or sign with dream clients.  Know Your Niche One of the biggest turning points in Jessica's business came when she honed in on her ideal client: high-performing women who want to grow personally and professionally. These women want the transformation that Jessica provides and working with them feels aligned with her purpose.  As soon as Jessica narrowed her niche, the floodgates opened. Her one-on-one calendar quickly filled up, and she's since pivoted to a course, a membership program, and soon to release an app as well. All of her marketing has been relationship-based, with 50% of her clients based locally and 50% across the country. Building her brand online has helped her business grow even further.  Enjoy this episode with Founder and Style Strategist Jessica Papineau… Quotes “Once she can tell me what those desires are and I can close my eyes and envision it and she can tell me how she feels, I can see what she's wearing and what she looks like. And then from there, we start to formulate a wardrobe that aligns with that woman she desires to be.” “Fashion and beauty isn't superficial at all. There's actually a transformative power in it for women.” “Many people are operating their lives just replaying their past over and over again. And a lot of people don't exercise the muscle of imagination.” “Everyday I put myself into situations that scare me. I want to stretch myself to serve the women I'm working with deeper.” “Once you truly step into your power, you're able to share with others deeply, and they can then make an impact.” “At the end of the day, it's not about how much money you made. What you hear people say when they come to the ending portion of their lives, it's about those relationships.” Links mentioned in this episode: Visit Jessica's website which was made with love by The brandiD: https://csjstyling.com/  Connect with Jessica on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jessica-papineau-45482725/

Ellen tells her story through her styling work around the world using color, fabric and texture to create luxurious yet cool stylings. She loves mystery which can clearly be seen through her work for Vogue Arabia. Ellen explains what intrigues her so much about fashion and how color fits into that world. Ellen Mirck is a Dutch Fashion Stylist and sustainable editor based in Milan. She does fashion styling,  art direction and brand consultancy. She is contributing editor of Vogue Arabia and also collaborates with magazines such as Vogue Brazil, Lampoon, Numerò Netherlands, Tank and Cap74094. Her clients are Burberry, Max Mara, Hogan, Pomellato, Moncler, Ermenegildo Zegna, Fay, Tommy Hilfiger, Bvlgari, Converse, Benetton, Tod's, Bally, Palm Angels and many more.Ellen used to live in London and work for Alexander McQueen and Hermès. She studied Economy in the Netherlands and graduated Cum Laude in Fashion Styling at Marangoni Milan. In her work she instinctively pairs the clean, graphic lines from Northern Europe with the warmth and a certain dramatic flair found in the South. She finds the precious in the details with interesting, nature- inspired textures. As a Stylist and Art Director, she'd say she more of a storyteller, really getting into the mind of the client to translate their vision and vivid imagination that might be slumbering underneath the surface. Natalie Wakeling is Australia's first plus-size editorial model, turned size inclusive fashion designer and she's got a bone to pick with the fashion industry. Natalie has been part of a pioneering movement to redefine the fashion and retail industry into a more size inclusive, body positive space not only for customers and models but also plus size designer brands. And not just a ‘we feature some curvy girls once a year in our body diversity issue' inclusive. As in, get these brands on the runway, plaster real bodies all over billboards and start supporting the fact that retail customers (and most styling clients) are a size 14 MINIMUM. Her most recent ‘win' was the battle with the giants of fashion week to get the first plus size parade (called the Curve Edit) debuting at Australian Fashion Week. Natalie began her designing career with Embody Denim in 2006, which has now become one of Australia's most recognised and respected size inclusive brands featuring a full collection of denim and apparel. Nat shares some incredible stats that will be helpful for you stylists when it comes to your marketing material. USE THESE FACTS IN YOUR POSTS ⬇️ Google search data revealed Australia has become the country most interested in size inclusive and ethical clothing in the past 3 months. A report by McKinsey said “60 percent of people considered a brands ethics while shopping” A report by ABS showed “the average woman's waist circumference was 88cm, equivalent to sizes 16-18” AND THAT'S NOT ALL THE BEEF For plus size, size inclusive designers to thrive, which is what all of your clients want, we need the media to support them. That means features, PR, editorial coverage, celeb endorsements, to broaden the reach of these brands and get them in front of your clients. SO SHE'S DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT, GOD DAMN IT Natalie has started a national movement called #realaustralianfashion The goal is to raise enough money to book out a whole year's worth of advertorial space in Australia's top magazines and fill the pages with size inclusive brands, styled by Australian stylists specialising in curvy clients, and on curvy models that truly represent the average Australian customer. BUT SHE WANTS YOUR HELP STYLISTS! “I'd actually really like (stylists) to reach out because I'm going to need help. I can't do all of this on my own. I really want this to be a collective effort amongst women and the community. This is about raising awareness to all the stylists that are struggling to find quality, sustainable, designer brands for their clients, and for customers looking for brands they would love.” If you're a stylist in Australia who'd like to be included in the upcoming shoots, please email info@stylingadvisory.com.au LINKS https://www.embodywomen.com/pages/natalie-wakeling https://www.instagram.com/nataliewakeling/?hl=en RECENT PRESS https://www.mamamia.com.au/plus-size-jeans-review-embody-women/
