The Utah Jazz behind Jordan Clarkson and Rudy Gobert played dominant basketball against the Oklahoma City Thunder with an easy 107 - 86 victory. The Jazz looked dominant and ready to roll through the season in a big way. Donovan Mitchell had a strong second half and showed that he's still growing as a player. In the first half he deferred to the other playmakers on the floor and it allowed Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley to do work. Speaking of Gobert, he was a monster with 21 rebounds and 16 points. Jordan Clarkson looks like he meshes well with Hassan Whiteside in that Whiteside's style allows Clarkson to go to work in isolation. It's something to watch but it looks like a nice fit so far. If I were asked to describe what typical New Zealand people are like, the last word that would come to mind would be 'rugged'. Yet, apparently, according to the people on the washing line, this is a label that goes hand in hand with the folks down under. Did I ever mention to you that, twelve years ago, I got cold feet about moving to New Zealand? It's true. I had visions of turning up to the country and finding men who spent hours drinking and polishing their fishing rods and women who wore blue overalls. Luckily I put my big girl pants on and went ahead with our plans.
