It's Spring Break, and we're looking back at some of our biggest “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcasts ever. This week, we're taking it back to our interview with Bachelor Peter Weber. We are over the moon to welcome back one of our absolute favorite guests, Anders, to discuss this weeks fantasy suite finasco (as Hannah Ann would put it). You are very much going to enjoy his witty and at times scathing takes on what went down this episode, and we probably also tossed in a couple of good insights too (no promises). Congrats to Zach for finding a new and original way to completely fuck up fantasy suites week. You have to hand it to him, he really pioneered a new way of making everyone mad at him, us included. Also, this isn't a trick to get you to stick around till the very end of the episode, but if you do listen all the way through, we do end up sharing probably our best series of "in an embarrassing turn of events" yet.
Si & Veronica are feeling like hot diggity dogs for episode 251! We get our first week of dates for Zach and his ladies. They blew the production budget with the first group date with having Latto and then three Bachelor Nation “bad bitch” alums, Victoria F., Tahzjuan, and Courtney (neither of us knew who she was). Tahzjuan didn't think any of the women were up to snuff and attempted to join the season… but got denied by Zach. Christina Mandrell (got the name right this week) got the coveted first one-on-one date AND helicopter date AND chance to meet Zach's family. She dropped the “I have a kid bomb” and Zach seems good with it… for now. The last group date of the week could've been mud wrestling for all we know because they only showed us the cocktail portion that included mostly makeouts. Brianna showed some cracks in her confidence over the course of the episode and even confronted villain-in-the-making, Christina. Hannah Ann got engaged to her NFL practice squad boo. And MadiPrew and Grant Trizzy Troutt are on their purity culture BS still with some podcast clips going viral. (Bachelor talk ends at time marker 38m:09s) The Jonas Brothers announced their new (very uncreative in title) album at their Walk of Fame ceremony. Along with that coming in May, we will also have Fast X hitting theaters. Celebs are in the business of making babies with Paris Hilton welcoming her first via surrogate and Meghan Trainor announcing her second on the Today Show. Will the Spice Girls have a full reunion for the coronation of King Charles? Vee went “Yikes!” to disputes with Priscilla Presley and the validity of her late daughter, Lisa Marie's, will. Did you see Barb's face? No really, did you? Because that was some of the most insane television any of us have ever witnessed. Peter proposed to Hannah Ann. And then dumped Hannah Ann. And Hannah Ann had WORDS. And then Maddie missed Peter. And then Peter and Maddie got back together. And then Peter's Mom. She was...Peter's mom, was...well...Peter's mom was mad. Welcome to Episode 41 of A Beautiful Podcast to Fall in Love, TV Guide's unofficial Bachelor Nation show. This week, former The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise cast member Jacqueline Trumbull and TV Guide Reviews & Recommendations Editor Liam Mathews recap Part 2 of the finale of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor. The season finale was all about Barbara Weber, who destroyed her family on live TV because she liked Peter's original choice, Hannah Ann, and didn't like Madison, with whom he's going to explore a possible relationship. Barb turned her back on her son when he needed her support the most because he made a choice she didn't agree with, even though it's his life, not hers. We've never seen an ending quite like this, from Peter and Hannah Ann's ill-advised engagement to their breakup to Madi's return and Barb's horrifying hatred of the woman her son loves. At least Hannah Ann and Madison came out of this looking good, because no one in Peter's family did. Welcome to Episode 40 of A Beautiful Podcast to Fall in Love, TV Guide's unofficial Bachelor Nation show. This week, former The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise cast member Jacqueline Trumbull and TV Guide Reviews & Recommendations Editor Liam Mathews recap Part 1 of the finale of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor. This week, Jacqueline and Liam are joined by comedian Jared Freid to mostly talk about Peter's mom Barbara. What else is there to talk about, really? She stole the show with her over-the-top emotional theatrics about Hannah Ann and Madison, and Jacqueline, Liam, and Jared go deep on how Peter's relationship with his mother explains so much of who he is as the Bachelor and on the general dynamic between mothers and sons. And Jacqueline shares what it's like to talk to the show's in-house therapist. Other topics of discussion include whether Madi was right to break up with Peter (definitely), predictions for what will happen in Part 2 of the finale, and Peter's bad outfits this episode. Welcome to Episode 38 of A Beautiful Podcast to Fall in Love, TV Guide's unofficial Bachelor Nation show. This week, former The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise cast member Jacqueline Trumbull and TV Guide Reviews & Recommendations Editor Liam Mathews recap Episode 9 of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor. Jacqueline and Liam are joined by Jacqueline's friend and fellow Bachelor alum Kendall Long as they recap the fascinating Fantasy Suites episode. They start with a long, in-depth discussion of Madison and Peter's dilemma, where Madison doesn't want Peter to sleep with other women but Peter has to gather all the information he needs to make a decision about who he's going to propose to. Neither Madison nor Peter are wrong, which makes their conflict uncommonly compelling. Then they talk about Hannah Ann and Victoria F., Kendall's perspective as someone who's been on a Fantasy Suite date, and the possible Bachelor senior citizen spin-off, which Jacqueline and Kendall convince Liam is a great idea. Finally, Kendall talks about her recent breakup with Joe Amabile, whether or not she'd do Paradise again, and her own podcast, Down to Date. We begin, not surprisingly, in an airplane hanger in California. Madison pulls Peter aside to half-heartedly ask him not to sleep with any of the women during their upcoming fantasy suite dates. Madison still doesn't tell Peter she's a virgin, and crosses her fingers that Peter really understands. Was this a fair? Is this comparable to what Luke P. did last season to Hannah. Should Peter have understood the clues around “faith” and “purity”? Peter is somewhat annoyed that Madison is trying to control his other two relationships with women that have declared their feelings for him more clearly than Madison. We all know how important that is. (15:00) In Gold Coast, the women are staying in the same suite. Which is at best unkind and at worst downright evil. They all have to experience the walk-of-shame and it didn't really offer anything interesting or extra to the show. It does lead to some very superficial greetings which highlight the awkwardness between the women. Victoria gets real quiet when the topic of hometowns comes up, for good reason. (25:10) Peter, the master of the doofus entrance, shines in this episode with a bad Australian accent. He takes Hannah Ann for the first date. They jet-ski and don't really push their relationship forward in any real meaningful way. Except for the fantasy suite part and Hannah Ann saying she's basically okay with Peter sleeping with the other women. (28:40) The Bachelor is looking for seniors looking for love. Sean and Tiff love the idea of non-Instagrammers looking for love. Sean pitches an additional “This is 30” season, too: 30-somethings only. (32:55) Victoria gets the aviation date. Another helicopter ride, but first, Peter wipes the slate clean and doesn't want to look back at any past issues. Victoria fully plans on creating more issues in the future… Victoria opens up about her past, and blames an ex-boyfriend for her inability to process emotions or have any sort of open conversation with Peter about her feelings. This is where Tiff really flexes her Vicky voice imitation muscles. (43:09) And finally, Madison gets her fantasy suite date. This date terrified us due to the incredible heights, and there is no way that we'd participate in this one. Madison and Peter seemed to really enjoy being so close to death, good for them. The date ramps up when Madison tells Peter she's saving herself for marriage, and she also doubles down on her ultimatum. Peter has to admit, without the details, that he has been intimate with someone. Madison and Peter are on the ropes and we finish the episode without a rose ceremony and without any solution to Peter's apology to Madison. Hey guys! In this week's episode of The Snatchelor, Margo and Nicole begin by recapping their weekends. Nicole gives us the story of her half marathon race - and the malfunctions that came with it. Then we dive deep into this weeks episode of The Bachelor. We discuss everything from Madison's admission, to Peter's inability to keep it in his pants, to Hannah Ann and Victoria F's fantasy suite dates and the perfection that is Madison. We also talk about Hannah G & Dylans engagement party, Dean and Caelynn's "marriage," Kelley's SNUB from the Women Tell All, Victoria F being spotted with Robby Hayes and so much more. Margo also does a Siesta Key recap. As well as, we share with you what we're currently listening to. Remember, all songs are added to the "Snatchelor's songs" playlist on Spotify!
We're at the business end of the season. Peter goes to four hometowns and only meets three families. Before we jump into each visit, Tiff and Sean hit up some Bachelor gossip and adjacent news, including some Bachelor franchise break-ups, a production conspiracy theory, and some other social media buzz. (14:30) Then they jump into the hometowns and discuss them in the order they were filmed (not how they were shown on the show). They begin with Madison's date in Auburn. Peter misses a half-court shot by a mile, Bruce Pearl shows up, Sir Charles Barkley leaves a jumbotron message, and Madison shows off her ball-handling skills. At the dinner, the family shares kind thoughts about Madison in a family tradition that we rather liked. Peter gets challenged by Madison's father about his true feelings for Madison. Sean and Tiff get the heebie-jeebies when Madison's dad mentions her “purity.” (34:00) Victoria was next, and it wasn't great. The day date goes swimmingly. A jaunt on the beach and an old-time photo shoot on the boardwalk look like a lot of fun and it feels like Victoria might be turning a corner. A concert by someone that Victoria didn't date caps off the day, with a very peculiar, yet hilarious, song choice by Hunter Hayes. But an ex-girlfriend of Peter's shows up and warns him about Victoria. Everything spirals out of control from there. (01:04:00) Hannah Ann is next, Knoxville is a great time for Peter. They throw some axes and split some wood to prepare Peter to meet Hannah Ann's lumberjack father. Peter gets what he needs out of this date after the train wreck with Victoria: complete validation from a women. (01:14:20) Iowa is the final stop for Peter, and Kelsey brings him to a vineyard to crush grapes and blend wines. Peter begs for validation from her while they sip wine. Kelsey's family is lovely. Kelsey is all in and willing to get her heart broken and pick up the pieces if she has to. She will… (01:22:06) They wrap up with a theme song for each of the girls sent in from IG followers. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thecompanionpod/message

All 4 hometowns were wild on tonight's incredible episode of The Bachelor! Hannah Ann and Peter threw wood, and before your mind jumps into the gutter, we're talking about AXES people. Peter got on that final four court in Auburn with Madison, and she may be ready to drop the secret virgin bomb! We didn't get champagne with Kelsey, but we did get some nice Iowa-foot-wine, and a heartbreaking goodbye. But then there was Victoria. And Merrisa. And the classic “just be careful” line led to an abandoned hometown. Do you think Peter wants easy, or crazy? Welcome to Episode 35 of A Beautiful Podcast to Fall in Love, TV Guide's unofficial Bachelor Nation show. This week, former The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise cast member Jacqueline Trumbull and TV Guide Reviews & Recommendations Editor Liam Mathews recap Episode 6 of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor. Jacqueline and Liam have resigned themselves to the fact that Peter is a bad Bachelor, which frees them up to take the season for what it is: A case study in weak leadership. But hey, at least we're getting some entertainingly weird stuff like Peter's out-of-nowhere breakup with Victoria P., his desire to see Hannah Ann cry, and Tammy and Mykenna's final fight. Hannah Ann and Kelsey are still reeling with emotion after their dramatic #ChampagneGate drama with Peter. Meanwhile, Victoria P. and Peter strengthen their connection with a romantic, country music-themed one-on-one date where Victoria opens up about her difficult upbringing. 'Bachelor' alum Demi Burnett returns to host a group date that's basically an epic pillow fight in linger-y. After the group date, Sydney brings her concerns about Alayah to Peter as multiple women come forward and question Alayah's authenticity. At the rose ceremony, Peter makes a difficult decision to send Alayah home -- but it won't be the last we see of her! Peter is left picking up the pieces of various spats between the women in the house, along with playing middle school principle in a bullying incident. Nothing is going right for Kelsey, Victoria F. seeks constant validation, and Hannah Ann keeps winning. The specter of Hannah Brown still looms and this season is off to a turbulent start, and it doesn't seem like the seatbelt sign is getting turned off for quite a while. Week 2! Everything is all fucky because of the weird pacing last week, but let's pick up where we left off! Hannah B! Hannah Ann! Champagne! Get horny. I'm tired of writing these goddamn blurbs. Our opening music is "What is Love" by Haddaway, our closing music is "Wonderboy" by Tenacious D, and our play of the game music comes from the Blizzard game "Overwatch". Episode 2 came in VERY hot with Hannah here. Still. Yes, Hannah Brown is planting her windmill firmly in the ground, and shedding her glitter all of Peter, marking her territory. The girls were not thrilled about Hannah's return, and Natasha made it known. Risky move to come out bull-headed, but fortunately, Peter made clear that he likes a “strong badass” woman. Speaking of strong women, or at least strong champagne, the battle of Kelsey vs. Hannah Ann has begun, and it's becoming VERY clear that villains are slowly rearing their heads. Kelsey got a nice splash of champagne straight into her eye, and it was enough to tell Hannah Ann to “f**k off.” Hannah Ann did retain her composure to offer a, “I acknowledge your feelings.” The rest of the episode REVOLVED around a fashion joined by Janice Dickinson and Carson Kressley. Victoria F revealed herself to be very insecure in her personality, but VERY confident in her sexuality, strutting her stuff in lingerie but ultimately losing to…who else…but Hannah Ann. We ended with the battle of the bullies. Both Hannah Ann and Kelsey are claiming that the other is the true bully of Bachelor Nation, but we'll just have to wait to find out! Champagne Gate was like nothing we’ve ever seen before and we have it covered from all angles. Including the final word on if Hannah Ann intentionally sabotaged Kelsey’s Des Moines special. We’ll also predict how much more we’ll see of Hannah Brown this season.

Welcome to Episode 30 of A Beautiful Podcast to Fall in Love, TV Guide's unofficial Bachelor Nation show. This week, former The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise cast member Jacqueline Trumbull and TV Guide reviews & recommendations editor Liam Mathews recap the premiere of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor. Jacqueline and Liam are joined by TV Guide Senior Editor Sadie Gennis, who watched The Bachelor for the first time ever and gives her thoughts as a new visitor to Bachelor Nation. Spoiler alert: She gets why people like it! Plus, they review Peter's performance (high marks!), get to the bottom of what rubs people the wrong way about Hannah Ann (she seems like she's following a script!), and wade waist-deep into the controversy around Victoria F., who's already developing a reputation for drama, onscreen and off. And all that before they talk about Peter and Hannah B.'s emotional reunion. It's gonna be a good season! It was a thrilling season premiere, on ABC's dramatic season 24 Bachelor debut. ABC immediately pushed Peter's Cuban heritage, showing a delicious family dinner complimented with Cuban food. From there, we met some season standouts, including Alexa the body-waxer and Victoria P the care-taking nurse, but Hannah Ann made the biggest impression, interrupting THREE separate times during the cocktail party. Natasha was NOT having it. But let's talk about the first group date, which included aviation math, puke-riddled inflatable slides, and of course, Lawyer Kelley (with who Peter had a former fling) CHEATING to get a free Plane ride to the cocktail evening. Kelley's passive aggressive interruption brought tears to Shian's eyes, and NOT in a good way. This, of course, led to what may be the best one on one premiere date EVER, with Madison joining the Weber's for a very heartfelt wedding vow renewal ceremony, accompanied by - who else but - Tenille Arts. Madison's earnest performance makes her a clear frontrunner for the season. Finally, Hannah Brown, the beast, is BACK! She (aggressively?) inserted herself into Peter's final group date, and he TOTALLY took the bait. Is Hannah Brown here to stay?
