    Caylan Ford is an international affairs expert with a background in China and human rights. She earned a Bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in Chinese history from the University of Calgary, then relocated to Washington DC to pursue a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University. More recently, she graduated with distinction from Oxford University with a Master’s degree in International Human Rights Law, where she wrote her dissertation on the international crime of genocide. Caylan became the subject of national focus while running as a candidate in a provincial election. Messages from a private correspondence were leaked, distorted, and politically weaponized in an attempt to bring down her campaign and the party she represented.
