Thomas Stern Eliot publicó sus Four Quartets en 1942, en plena guerra mundial y dos décadas después de su también magistral The Waste Land. Es un poema cuya construcción se asemeja a una catedral musical. Está lleno de imaginación, de destreza verbal y de ideas filosóficas, y para tratar de desentrañar su melancolía, su musicalidad y sus extraños simbólismos invitamos a la poeta y editora Isabel del Río.
