"The road less traveled is less traveled for a reason".   In this episode we dive into the mind of a comedy legend in order to see what makes him tick and discover his secrets to successful storytelling. We also hear some surprising insights into his about work-life balance. He's a writer, comedian, actor, director and producer who is worth over $670M. He made a show about nothing (which still brings him over $60M each year) making him the most successful comedian the world has ever seen. He's Jerry Seinfeld and you're going to love what he has to tell you.   ** Jerry's comedy sets are 70-75 minutes, so I thought it only fair that we devoted a similar amount of time to Ten Words! **   LINKS Jerry's website Follow Jerry on Twitter Comedians in Cars on Netflix Interesting facts about Jerry from Rolling Stone The commercial success of Seinfeld Jerry's interview with Bob Roth about Transcendental Meditation Talking Funny with Chris Rock, Ricky Gervais and Louis CK Dissecting Jerry's PopTart joke Seinfeld's theme played by Anna Sentina   SHOW NOTES This week I tried a different format and placed all my audio clips as post-it notes (instead of my usual Duarte notebook method) - matched to the mixing desk in BossJock Studio. I thought it worked out pretty well. Let me know what you think.

Since 1974, Michael Tobias has been tweaking and tinkering on guitars and basses, eventually he started building instruments, especially basses, and his Tobias basses have been collectible instruments used by a broad range of artists. In 1994, Michael started a new company, Michael Tobias Design, and has taken his instruments to a whole new level. To quote Michael: "The most important thing I learned is that, no matter what the instrument is, it is first and foremost acoustic. If an instrument sounds weak acoustically, adding pickups will just amplify its shortcomings. Throughout my career I have tried to apply this principal to everything I build. By experimenting with different types and combinations of wood, I seek to get the best possible tone from an instrument. And, by using different woods for body and neck, I am able to offer a wide variety of speaking voiced and tonal capabilities." Joining me, in studio, is renowned studio bassist and one of the founders of the phenomenal group Incendio, Liza Carbe. Liza will be showing us her collection of Tobias basses and demonstrate why she loves these instruments. Also joining us will be Jean Pierre Durand, also of Incendio, and extraordinary bassist Anna Sentina. It's a night of lots of low end and some insights into getting some amazing tone!!!

Hello AaA Fans to yet another low end episode of your Amps and Axes Podcast. And yes, it's not just another episode with a four string slinger, it's another Girl Power episode! In this installment, the guys start out with a discussion about a famous Gibson guitar with a wrong part. Okay, it's not wrong since it's factory installed, but... okay, you'll just need to listen. Then they bring in their guest of the week. A girl who was an early student of the now ubiquitous School Of Rock musical institute and now makes her living playing bass (and a great pianist as well), please make welcome Ms Anna Sentina. Enjoy!!
