Bill Maher welcomes Yungblud (Dominic Harrison) for a no-rules conversation packed with wild tour stories, culture shocks, and rock-and-roll revelations. From growing up in a Doncaster guitar shop (while convinced Rod Stewart was his granddad) to near-arrests in Japan, tour bus rules, midnight truck stops, and crew parties that never end, Yungblood holds nothing back. They dive into pirate vs. cowboy style, why rock's not dead (it just got a wardrobe change), and Yungblud''s powerful farewell with Ozzy Osbourne just weeks before his passing. Along the way: a schoolteacher crush, Taylor Swift fandom, Japan's infamous vending machines, and the big reveal of Bill's stripper name. “Not only do we see that we can succeed, but even if we fail, we just get up, dust ourselves off and try again.”  A clear path emerges: work hard, listen harder, and choose businesses you're genuinely excited about. Success isn't just profit; it's finding vehicles that keep you curious and energized, then learning fast when the market teaches tough lessons. The episode distills a practical mindset: sell well, listen well, and keep your timing sharp—because opportunity rewards those who ship before the boom.  From clubs to submarines, Scott Edwards shows how passion and experimentation can compound into track records (and stories) that money alone can't buy. He leans on sales, timing, and relentless curiosity, while admitting mistakes, pivots, and the importance of dusting off and trying again. The result is an approach to entrepreneurship that's joyful, gutsy, and teachable.  Scott is a lifelong entrepreneur and producer who launched one of America's earliest full-time comedy clubs in 1980, worked with Gary Shandling, George Wallace, Bob Saget, Dana Carvey, and Jerry Seinfeld, produced TV series and large concerts, owned multiple companies (including a tourist submarine), and now hosts the Tag Team Talent Podcast.  Learn more & connect:  Book: Be a Standup Comic, or Just Look Like One by Scott Edwards  Book: 20 Questions Answered About Being a Standup Comic by Scott Edwards  Tag Team Talent Podcast: on YouTube and Spotify. Bill Maher sits down with Seth Green for a fast, funny conversation that zig-zags from Hollywood war stories to pop-culture philosophy – including a wild night on the town with Macaulay Culkin, Andy Dick, and Marilyn Manson that went spectacularly sideways. They trade notes on weed, hemp, and the myth-versus-merit of CBD, then dive into the child-actor reality – Gary Coleman's hard truths, “fame without money,” and how Seth managed to avoid the pitfalls. From MTV Awards and Punk'd pranks to the anniversaries of Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day's Dookie and American Idiot, they rewind to MTV Cribs, recount an undercover poker prank, and even debate the most important question of all: are comic books literature? 645. Part 2 of our interview with David Ballantyne about post Civil-War Reconstruction of the Red River Valley. He has given the history on the area in his book, Fractured Freedoms: Reconstruction in Central Louisiana. “Fractured Freedoms is a riveting history of central Louisiana from the 1860s to the 1890s, focusing on majority-Black Rapides Parish during Reconstruction. Using the region as a case study, Ballantyne reveals what is, in part, a rural Reconstruction success story, emphasizing the resilience of Black politics and the persistence of significant divisions among white residents that allowed the Republican Party to gain and maintain power there. It was only with the collapse of state-level Republican power in 1877 that Democratic forces in the parish were able to dismantle local Republican political control and gradually constrict Black freedoms" (LSU Press). When you hear all of the above what comes to mind? Energy policy? It reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld saying “more everything” to the stewardess in first class when asked if he wanted anything else while Elaine was having a miserable coach experience. But the reason that's my top takeaway today is because that's what Jeffrey Epstein's victims called for in a news conference yesterday in their push for what's known as a discharge petition that could force a House vote on legislation, that if passed, would compel the Justice Department to provide full disclosure of the Epstein files.

Bill sits down with Woody Allen for a wide-ranging conversation on comedy, film, and everything in between. They swap stories from the comedy-club era and dig into Woody's craft – his “do less” rule, why he hates rehearsal, and what it's like to direct once you've aged out of a role (including casting others to play the parts you once did). Woody weighs in on classic cinema (Streetcar devotion, Godfather II praise, Casablanca indifference), Bob Hope's lasting imprint, and therapy that “helped a little,” while Bill quizzes him on newer movies (yes, even Twilight). This episode takes me back to the early days of Neat Apparel, when Claudio and I were just getting started. For those who don't know, Claudio is my business partner on Neat - our sweat-proof Shopify brand and he has one of the most fascinating backgrounds of anyone I've ever worked with.He graduated from Stanford at 20. Climbed to the top of Wall Street. Then pivoted into entrepreneurship—first with a soccer brand, and now with me in performance apparel. In this conversation, we talked through the moment we decided to go all in on Neat.We broke down the actual negotiations that brought us together, why we decided to buy IP before launching, and how we thought about scaling the brand through content, storytelling, and founder alignment. Looking back, it's wild to see how much of that conversation still shapes how we run Neat today.

This week Bill finally meets the genie of his boyhood dreams – and yes, he even brought the bottle. Barbara Eden drops by for a warm, witty time capsule only a true showbiz legend can deliver: memories of Elvis Presley, the 60th anniversary of I Dream of Jeannie, belly-button “censorship” and why the bottle was never allowed in the bedroom. Bill gives Barbara an OnlyFans crash course she never asked for, and Barbara tells Vegas war stories with George Burns and Shecky Greene, including the wildest “show must go on” tale you've ever heard. It's a conversation as magical as Jeannie herself. John Dwyer — founder of The Institute of Wow, direct response marketing expert, and creator of standout campaigns (including a rare Jerry Seinfeld deal) that help businesses win without competing on price. Key Points: Theming sells: Inspired by Disney, JD uses evergreen, public domain themes (wildlife, outer space, dinosaurs) to make offers irresistible year‑round. Free IP example: Attack of the Dinosaurs collectible promo netted $500K in 4 weeks. Seinfeld home loan campaign: Replaced rate discounts with a free vacation, resulting in billions in extra loans. Incentives over discounts: Low‑cost/high‑perceived‑value rewards take focus off price — must match what the audience wants. Turf farm + premium beer bonus = sold out in days. Loyalty rewards swapped for movie vouchers boosted response. Ultimate incentive — travel: Access to unsold hotel rooms sold as bulk vouchers (~$48 special). Works for big‑ticket and demo offers; Harley dealers see ~3.5 sales per 10 test rides. Same cost as a 10% discount, far more pulling power. Doesn't work for every sector (e.g., funerals). JD's Principles: Don't discount — differentiate with irresistible offers. Match incentive to customer desires, not product features. Use free IP themes to avoid licensing costs. Focus on high perceived value / low actual cost. Connect with John: vacationsincentive.com (email for 2‑for‑1 podcast listener deal) Email: john@theinstituteofwow.com

We discussed NFL teams with the worst Super Bowl odds, including the Jets and Giants at 75-to-1 for their conference. Boomer believes a last-place team often goes to first in their division, possibly the Bears with Ben Johnson. We emphasized the importance of a dynamic quarterback like Josh Allen. The Jets and Giants' over/under for wins is 5 ½. Justin Fields faces a new offense, requiring a learning curve. Boomer predicts the Giants will win at least 6 games, expecting big things from their defense. Jerry gave an update after we talked about our Pebble Beach trip. The Yankees lost to the Rangers with key home runs given up by Devin Williams and Jake Bird. The Mets also lost to the Guardians due to Brett Baty's throwing error. Steve Somers had Jerry Seinfeld on his podcast and is releasing a book. The Kraken mascot was charged by a bear while fishing in Alaska. We concluded the hour discussing the documentary ‘Grizzly Man' and a caller's unsuccessful attempt to use bear spray on a goose.

Hour 1 The Mets and Yankees had another frustrating night with losses. Boomer and Gio discussed the Mets' inconsistent performance, comparing them to the Knicks. Aaron Judge returns to the Yankees lineup as a DH, keeping Giancarlo Stanton out. Jerry's update included Yankees' loss to Texas, with key homers from Devin Williams and Josh Young. Max Fried struggled, and Brett Baty made a crucial error for the Mets. Aaron Glenn discussed game week prep. Jerry played a clip of "Dan in Warwick" asking about the NY and SF Giants, followed by a video of Eli Manning meeting the SF Giants and Mike Francesa, which Sal then tried to replicate with Dan in Warwick, but it was a dud. Hour 2 Joe Flacco is the Browns' new starting QB, with five QBs on the roster. The Giants have four QBs, with Russell Wilson clearly the starter; we discussed our interview with him at Giants camp, where Gio thought he was flattering Boomer. Dexter Lawrence requested only waist-up photos. We also discussed household robots. A caller noted our podcast is labeled 'explicit'. Jerry's update covered the Mets' loss to the Guardians despite Pete Alonso's HR and 4 RBIs, and Brett Bady's error. Kyle Schwarber hit his 40th HR. The Yankees lost to Texas with Pederson and Josh Young homering. Max Fried felt he didn't help his team enough. Cam Ward likes to relax at home. Mike McDaniel joked, "we're another day closer to death." In the final segment, a caller wanted Mike Francesa to replace Aaron Boone, leading Gio to imagine Francesa making a pitching change. Hour 3 We discussed NFL teams with the worst Super Bowl odds, including the Jets and Giants at 75-to-1 for their conference. Boomer noted a team often goes from last to first in their division, citing the Bears with Ben Johnson as a possibility. We emphasized the importance of a dynamic quarterback like Josh Allen for the Bills. The Jets and Giants' over/under for wins is 5 ½. Justin Fields faces a new offense, requiring a learning curve. Boomer predicts the Giants will win at least 6 games, expecting a strong defensive performance. Jerry provided an update after we talked about our Pebble Beach trip. The Yankees lost to Texas, with Devin Williams giving up a tying HR and Jake Bird the winning HR. The Mets lost to the Guardians due to Brett Baty's throwing error on a bunt. Steve Somers had Jerry Seinfeld on his podcast and is releasing a book. The Kraken mascot was charged by a bear while fishing in Alaska in full costume. The final segment covered the documentary 'Grizzly Man' and a caller's ineffective use of bear spray on a goose. Hour 4 Bear encounters in the woods were discussed, including calls from park rangers and a story about wiener dogs. Jerry shared bear attack sounds. The Yankees lost to the Rangers (Williams and Bird gave up homers) and the Mets to Cleveland (Baty's throwing error). Shedeur Sanders emphasized valuable reps and told his dad not to attend Browns practice. Saquon Barkley rehashed old material on Pardon My Take. The Moment of The Day featured Eddie Scozzare introducing himself to a grizzly bear. The final segment covered the Jets and Aaron Glenn having competitive hitting in practice, the expectation of starters playing in pre-season (especially Justin Fields), the debut of Hard Knocks with the Buffalo Bills, and whether Boomer and John Randle made up.

Bill Maher and YouTube star Brian Tyler Cohen dive into the chaos of modern politics in a freewheeling conversation covering everything from wrestling and weed to identity politics and the Iran deal. They debate whether Democrats are too focused on checking boxes to win elections, break down Trump's psychological warfare, and label one rising Democratic star “a walking campaign ad for Republicans." Actor and comedian Darrell Hammond joins Adam in studio to talk about his legendary run on Saturday Night Live and what it was like taking over for the iconic Don Pardo as the show's announcer. He reflects on the surreal experience of watching old sketches of himself, including a memorable one where he portrayed Bill Clinton on the phone with Saddam Hussein and Monica Lewinsky. He opens up about the challenges he faced during his time on SNL, and a harrowing story about getting arrested in the Bahamas and being left behind by a cruise ship. In the news, Mayhem and Adam react to Hunter Biden's explosive new interview where he claims President Biden took Ambien before the 2024 debate and defends his controversial painting sales. They also weigh in on Donald Trump's demand for the Washington Commanders to revert to their former team name, as well as Bill Cosby's shocking comments comparing Malcolm-Jamal Warner's death to the murder of his own son.Writer and comedy veteran Andy Cowan stops by to share stories from his time writing for Seinfeld and pitching ideas to Larry David. Adam reflects on how doing the opposite of his mother's advice led him to success, and he asks Andy whether Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David were playing exaggerated versions of themselves or just being authentic. Andy brings in a clip from The Merv Griffin Show, where he performed a spot-on Frank Sinatra impression, prompting a nostalgic discussion about Merv's legendary career.
