In this episode, we welcome back Carrie Dayton to the show. She is a body acceptance & body confidence queen on YouTube helping women heal their body image through the sharing of her personal journey and her positive and uplifting message. As a self-described #MidSize girl, she shares videos on how to find clothes that fit your body when you sometimes fall between straight-sizes and plus-sizes. Today we tackle some questions that she received through Instagram including: 1. What to do if you're fluctuating in weight and scared if people from your past think of you as “fat” 2. How did you let go of diet culture? It's so hard when it's everywhere. 3. How do you let go of the fact that skinny does not equate beauty and superiority? 4. Is it bad to want to change? I am happy in my body but I think I could be happier [if I were thinner]. 5. What do you do if you cant stop comparing yourself to people who have "better" bodies than you? 6. How do you deal with comparing yourself with other girls? In this solocast, I explore a really common roadblock with letting go of restriction and embodying Unconditional Permission to Eat, and that's giving yourself "Conditional Permission" . I share with you how I was giving myself "conditional permission" to take a break from creating content on Instagram so I wasn't really getting the full benefit of taking a break and how I see others giving themselves "conditional permission" to foods so they are not really giving up restricting, and thus still struggling with binge eating, food obsession and disordered eating. I share with you how to see if you are giving yourself "conditional permission" and leave you with some questions to ask yourself so that you can tune in and see where you are getting stuck for yourself. ALSO: Enrollment for Food Body Soul is still open. It's my new group coaching program to help women transition from food obsession to food freedom. It's a 12-week program (+ a 3 day retreat) to help women stop the crazy around food, learn to trust their body and start living lives they truly love. Enjoy! Contactgegevens van Farin: Website: https://relaxbodysoul.nl/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/farin.foodbodysoul/ Heb je vragen? In this solocast, I share very candidly about my eating disorder. Trigger warning for anyone currently going through one. Please use your best judgement when deciding to listen. I talk about my behaviors in specifics. After a conversation with a friend this past weekend in NYC, she encouraged me to share this side, the ugly dark side. The rawness of my struggle. And I do not get through it without crying a few times, so brace yourself, shit is about to get real. This is the cliffs notes version as I am recalling 10 years in 30 minutes but I hope that you can see yourself in my story. If you can, then my story will give you hope about what's possible for you and your healing! At the end, I introduce my new group coaching program, Food Body Soul, a 3-month-container for women who are ready to heal their relationship with food, connect to the woven in wisdom of their body and start living from a soul aligned place! It's going to be F*cking EPIC!
