Pete Lane presents the 5th and final edition in his series on GarageBand Version 6.0.5 on the Mac. Pete demonstrates how to create ringtones using a couple of songs from his iTunes library. Special thanks to Eric Clapton and Derrick & The Dominos for use of Layla, and to Boz Scaggs for his blues masterpiece, runnin' Blue. Pete also discusses how to create a ring tone from one of the hundreds of Apple loops offered in Version 6.0.5 of GarageBand. Pete Lane presents Volume 4 of his GarageBand Demo series for the Mac, in which he demonstrates how to access  effects in GarageBand Version 6.0.5  . Pete reviews several effects including Dynamic Compression and Echo and applies them to the voice track on the audio project he created in Volumes 2 and 3 of the series.   He then demonstrates how to upload the project to iTunes. Pete Lane presents the third edition in his GarageBand Demo series on the Mac. This episode features basic editing of an audio project: use of audio regions and split commands. This 45 minutes demo shows how  GarageBand (Version 6.0.5)  can serve as an editing program for a voice recording or podcast. Pete will release two more Volumes on Version 6.0.5 in which he shows how to apply basic FX to the project and how to upload it to iTunes. His final volume will review creating Ring Tones and sending them to iTunes.  Pete will then review the new Version 10 of GarageBand for those who do not have Version 6. Thank you for listening. Pete Lane presents the second edition of the GarageBand Demo series with a run through of setting up and recording a basic voice recording with GarageBand on the Mac.  Pete reviews microphone set up,  audio input and output sources, grabs an Intro Loop from the GarageBand Loop Browser, records a simple voice track and closes out with another loop from the library. I don't add posts very often but here is a new one and i will try to get at least two up a week one should be about tech and the other will be Song of the Week/Movie Review/Gaming Update kind of thing. But right now I've got a Explanation of GarageBand on the Apple Mac and it helps explain how to reduce volume and add sound into a track it can be really useful and funny. Just playing around with the built-in loops and amp and synth. Before I had the Oxygen8 and Tascam US-122, so used Yamaha YPR-9 for MIDI and iMic for guitar.
