In the first episode of 2018, Adam and Drew both broadcast from new locations! MUST LISTEN: This episode opens up with an original work from 3rd Grade Drew about playoff baseball. After, Adam and Drew start by discussing the pulse (or lack thereof) of the free agent market. They discuss some of the trades being made, including one for Scott Alexander, ground ball specialist. Drew has a bullish take on the Phillies. As always, Adam goes far too in depth on some Twins signings, and the guys talk about the recent Miguel Sano sexual assault allegations. Later, Drew discusses Trout the Weatherman on Mike Trout Minute. In Alphabet Soup, Adam covers ZiPS, the projection system used by many common fans to project players out into the next season. Later, Drew discusses the aging curve in Science in Baseball and discusses the possibility of Rafael Palmeiro's comeback at age 53. Finally, they stick up for the little guy, Kazuhisa Makita, a submarine slinging' righty reliever who signed with the Padres this past week.
