I feel like I owe Oklahoma baseball an apology. They won the Atlanta regional, beating GA Tech. They swept the Super Regional, beating Kansas on their way to Omaha. OU has several African American players on their team, and two in the everyday starting nine, and yet I have not talked about them nearly enough. I feel you, OU. You get the well-deserved spotlight today. OU got a big win against Georgia last night. Georgia will now face Texas in an elimination game. Byron Buxton continues to be unreal for the Twins. Chase Burns is forging a path to the All-Star Game, and PCA hit for the cycle.
Send us Fan MailWelcome to our 121st episode of the Triple FFF and our early summer confab about two big Hollywood tentpole entries that crashed and burned miserably at the box office in the wake of Gen Z's love affair with indie influencer horror to the point where Gen X has to face the facts and realize our day of IP dominance is over, we're talking about 2026's Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu directed by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal, Martin Scorcese, Jeremy Allen White and Sigourney Weaver along with Masters of The Universe, directed by Travis Knight and starring Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendez, Idris Elba, Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, James Purefoy, Charlotte Riley and Jared Leto. Back again for more is Mr. 80's Showbiz Trivia himself, Dr. David Johnson, DMD. Before we let these critical fists fly in a flurry of thunder punches, the synopses: In The Mandalorian and Grogu, ace bounty hunter Din Djarin and his adorable little green pal Grogu team up with the New Republic for a dangerous mission: deliver Rotta the Hutt, the kidnapped son of Jabba the Hutt, back to his ruthless gangster relatives known only as the Twins. In exchange, the Republic will get critical intel on the whereabouts of several high-ranking Imperial loyalists, still on the run. In Masters of the Universe, the evil Skeletor seizes control of the planet Eternia and enslaves Prince Adam's royal parents, forcing the young noble into exile on Earth. Stuck living as a regular human in a soul-crushing and emasculating human resources job for a nameless corporation, Adam quietly yearns for the adventure and heroics he was born for. When Eternian warrior princess Teela shows up on Earth chased by Skeletor's mindless henchman Beast Man, Adam finally gets his chance — he returns home with Teela to confront Skeletor and the forces of darkness and to claim his destiny as the most powerful being in the universe… He-Man. Are these two phenomenal failures actually fabulous? Find out! Watch the video podcast on Youtube:https://youtu.be/7DcNzDMNfko

Send us Fan MailIn a series full of swings, the Minnesota Twins come away with a victory over the visiting St. Louis Cardinals, taking two of three at Target Field. For the first time in a while, Byron Buxton had another star shining with him in Royce Lewis. David and Dan debate whether Royce is actually back or whether this is a blip. Dan is coming around to the ABS challenge system; David is wondering how long Justin Lawrence can possibly stay in this bullpen. “Take in your final breath before your first new one.” Those were the words Jillian heard before her double lung transplant—words that would mark the end of one life chapter and the beginning of another. Jillian is 34 years old, living with cystic fibrosis, and a double lung transplant recipient. Her story is one of resilience, loss, hope, and purpose. From being diagnosed at birth to navigating adulthood, Jillian has faced more than most, but she continues to show up for her life and for others in the cystic fibrosis community. Jillian shares what it was like growing up with CF, supported by family and shaped by early connections within the community. She reflects on how advocates like Emily Schaller and the Rock CF Foundation influenced her outlook and helped her feel less alone. We also talk about her college years, what it meant to pursue independence while managing a complex disease, and how life shifted as her health declined into end-stage lung failure. Jillian walks us through the transplant process, not just medically, but emotionally—the fear, the uncertainty, and the strength it takes to keep going. One of the most profound parts of Jillian's story is the loss of her twin brother. She opens up about that grief and how it continues to shape her perspective, her resilience, and her compassion for others. Throughout it all, Jillian emphasizes the importance of support systems and mental health—especially during the transplant journey. No one goes through something like this alone, and her story is a reminder of how critical connection and care truly are. Today, Jillian looks toward the future with hope. She shares her dreams of building a family, continuing her advocacy work, and expanding the impact of the nonprofit she founded, Jillian's Jay Walkers Organization. Her story is not just about survival—it's about living with intention, honoring loss, and creating something meaningful from it all.

Under terms of the plea deal, Boelter will spend the rest of his life in prison.More than a hundred men serving time at Rush City prison are boycotting the canteen to protest prison conditions. A federal judge has denied a request from independent journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort to release grand jury transcripts in their case.
