Hello à tous et bienvenue pour un nouvel épisode du Book Club. En l'occurrence je vais vous parler aujourd'hui du livre que j'ai choisi pour le mois d'octobre 2021.Le mois d'octobre n'est jamais simple. C'est un peu un mois de transition pour moi. On n'est plus vraiment dans l'énergie de la rentrée, mais on n'est pas non plus passé en mode hiver. Les jours se raccourcissent. Il fait de plus en plus froid. Et il faut bien le dire les vacances paraissent en général bien loin.C'est pourquoi, j'ai voulu choisir pour ce mois d'octobre un livre qui personnellement m'a beaucoup porté dans des périodes difficiles. Ce livre c'est DEMIAN, de l'auteur allemand Hermann Hesse.DEMIAN pour la littéraire que je suis c'est tout simplement un chef d'œuvre de la littérature mondiale.Un des plus grands romans d'initiation - ce que nos amis germanophones appellent les "bildungsroman".Laissez-moi vous en raconter l'histoire.Le roman nous plonge dans la vie d'un jeune garçon, Émile Sinclair, en pleine transition.Au sortir de l'enfance, Sinclair est tiraillé entre deux mondes opposés : d'un côté le cocon rassurant d'une famille aimante - le monde de l'enfance - et de l'autre le mondes des adultes, parfois effrayant, parfois attirant, et en tout cas mystérieux.Emile Sinclair se sent perdu, déboussolé. Il ne sait pas quelle route il doit prendre.Sa rencontre avec Max Demian, un nouveau camarade de classe à la personnalité mystérieuse, le délivre de ses doutes.Grâce à son mentor Demian, qui incarne la voix de la sagesse, Emile Sinclair, apprendra à développer son esprit critique, et améliorer sa connaissance de soi.Demian est un mot qui vient du grec ancien et qui signifie "la petite voix intérieure". Celle de notre intuition, ou d'un guide qui nous aide à prendre des décisions.Je crois que ce livre parlera à toutes celles et ceux qui sont paralysés par le doute.Ecrit en 1919, par un homme lui-même passionné par la connaissance de soi, ce livre n'a pas pris une ride.Pour la petite histoire, j'ai choisi de donner le nom DEMIAN à mes programmes de formation. Justement parce que Demian est un livre que je recommande autour de moi à tous ceux qui doutent. Au-delà de ça je trouve le nom très poétique

"Somewhat bizarre at times but the calm mood that runs throughout is perfect. I personally gained much wisdom from this book and believe there are many life lessons to be gained from it.
