Aliens possess the world's machines, sending a convoy of sentient trucks to terrorize a band of gas station dumb dumbs. All to the tune of AC/DC and directed by Stephen King. Sounds like a blast! Well... don't drink and drive, folks. We're getting under the hood to assess this 80s highway to hell: behind-the-scenes turmoil, lost eyes, substance abuse, and even George Romero's rumored shadow direction. The WIP Morning Team talks about both the performances of Zack Wheeler and Dylan Cease last night that resulted in a pitchers' duel and a Phillies 3-2 walk-off loss in the bottom of the 9th inning. They also continue breaking down Nick Sirianni's comments to the media from yesterday.
Last year was the first time we went to Balaton, and the result wasn't great. This year? Hate the track, love the riders. And I say 'riders', plural, because it takes two to tango. And people, did we get one hell of a dance between Acosta and Marquez today. Yes, the king is back and schooling everyone with 1,5 functional arms. Keen readers might notice that this is slightly less than the average of 2, but leave it to Marquez to make the best of it and show everyone how it's done. And if that doesn't make you excited, then just think:He's only going to get better from here. Who also keeps steadily doing better is Pedro Acosta, showing us how gentlemen duel while speeding over the tarmac with Marc. He's making the KTM look good, perhaps even better than it really is. Now let's put him on a Ducati next year, and see what happens...So yes, Mat and Peter have got plenty to talk about. Also, is this going to be the year that the Bez becomes champion? You never know...---Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. With big thanks as always to Brad Baloo from The Next Men and Gentleman's Dub Club for writing our theme song. On this week's edition of Next on the Tee, I have the privilege of welcoming three outstanding guests who share major championship insights, mental game strategies, and behind-the-scenes stories from the highest levels of golf. First, four-time Hall of Famer Richard Zokol discusses his new book, Zokology: Change Your Perspective Not Your Swing, and shares why the right mindset, a dependable pre-shot routine, and learning to perform under pressure are the true keys to better golf. He also tells us why another Canadian legend, George Knudson, told him he shouldn't be excited about earning his Tour card, and the lesson we can learn from Jack Nicklaus when he said to Author Ken Bowden immediately following the Duel in the Sun, "of course, we'll have dinner, Ken, it's only a game." Next, legendary golf journalist and Western Pennsylvania Golf Association Hall of Famer Ron Sirak weighs in on Aaron Rai's PGA Championship victory, the future of the LPGA Tour, leadership concerns at the PGA of America, and what the women's game needs to do to grow its audience. The show wraps up with 2003 PGA Champion Shaun Micheel, who takes us inside the Champions Dinner at the PGA Championship, discusses the challenge of getting a spot on the PGA TOUR Champions and European Legends Tour. Shaun is very passionate about the game and competing and you'll hear all it in this segment. If you love PGA Championship stories, golf instruction, mental game insights, and conversations with some of the most respected voices in the game, this is an episode you won't want to miss. As the American political system burns to the ground with controlled demolitions, and people on both sides of the aisle are realizing the errors of their team — a new hero is being elevated on the world stage to displace Trump and his countless failures. In fact this was the plan all along, and for students of bible prophecy and history this is only fulfillment of God's word. Going forward we will see the power of the papacy magnified throughout the world, and especially in America — that power will transform and remake the nation in its (Catholic) image soon. Last July, space telescopes recorded an event that sounds like the plot of a “B” horror movie: Zombie Versus Vampire. Spoiler alert: the vampire won. It drained away the zombie’s life’s blood – or make that its after-life’s blood. The encounter took place in a galaxy billions of light-years from Earth. Space telescopes detected a sudden flare-up in X-rays from the galaxy’s outskirts. The region also produced several short outbursts of gamma rays, the most powerful form of energy. At their peak, each burst produced as much energy every second as the Sun will emit in a billion years. Analysis revealed a possible explanation: a medium-sized black hole devoured a white dwarf – the “corpse” of a Sun-like star. Astronomers have seen similar encounters before. But most of them involved stars that were in the prime of life, so the stars were big. A white dwarf is only about as big as Earth, which is just one percent the Sun’s diameter. So a white dwarf is compact and extremely dense. Its surface gravity is strong, so it’s not easily disrupted. In this case, though, the white dwarf buzzed a black hole about 75,000 times the mass of the Sun. The black hole’s gravity ripped apart the white dwarf in one big bite. Debris swirled around the black hole. Magnetic fields fired some of it into space at almost the speed of light, creating bursts of gamma rays. The whole thing was over in a flash – as the vampire sucked the zombie dry. Script by Damond Benningfield

Skywalking Through Neverland: A Star Wars / Disney Fan Podcast
The Season 1 finale of STAR WARS: MAUL - SHADOW LORD delivered everything we hoped for: emotional betrayals, jaw-dropping visuals, terrifying horror vibes, and the long-awaited confrontation between Maul and Darth Vader. Richard and Sarah break down Chapters 9 and 10, from Dryden Vos and Crimson Dawn connections to Devon's tragic fall toward the dark side, and the MANY deaths along the way. Did Brander Lawson survive? We want your opinion, because Richard and Sarah are split! MAUL - SHADOW LORD composers Kevin, Deana, and Sean Kiner sneak in many musical references to "Duel of the Fates," "Battle of the Heroes," and "Anakin's Dark Deeds," all from the Prequel trilogy. We analyze how each of these callbacks help the overall storytelling of this series. One of the standout elements of the finale is Vader himself. His silent entrance through the misty forest instantly joins the ranks of iconic Vader reveals from A New Hope, Rogue One, and even Splinter of the Mind's Eye. The horror-inspired music, jump scares, and brutal fighting style made Vader feel unstoppable. Meanwhile, Maul manipulated events exactly as planned, allowing Devon's rage over Master Daki's death to push her into becoming his apprentice. The symbolism throughout the finale — broken bridges, collapsing temples, and fractured Jedi ideals — gave the battle emotional weight beyond the lightsaber clashes. We get into all of it! Is this the first Maul vs Vader battle in Star Wars history? While it's their first major onscreen showdown, the two previously dueled in the 2001 comic Star Wars Tales #9. Richard and Sarah explore that deep-cut Expanded Universe story. PODCAST SPONSORS Small World Vacations is an official sponsor of Skywalking Through Neverland.
