Welcome back to Dinner and a Game and thank you for joining us for X-Crawl River City Rampage! This is a campaign world that has been out of print for several years and has never been converted to Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition but we are not letting that stop us! This setting is called X-Crawl and is currently licensed to Goodman Games but only for Pathfinder, come on Goodman get in gear! Now the setting is a modern alternate Earth where fantasy monsters are real, and magic exists! As a plot twist the Roman empire never fell and currently rules most of Europe and what would have been the U.S. and Mexic. In this dark and gritty world slavery is still a thing and the world is still reeling from an extended war between the surface dwellers and the under dark that was so devastating even centuries later the effects on civilization are still apparent and in order to distract the masses from their daily struggle a new form of gladiatorial games have evolved but instead of slaves being forced to fight there are now professional adventurers who go into artificially built dungeons created by a mysterious figures known as the Dungeon Judges. There the teams compete against each other for top score in order to win money and prizes as well as winning everlasting glory! Our heroes have made their own bold statement by thwarting DJ Silver Spur by defeating the trap he had planned for them. What was supposed to be an ambush turned into an amazing win for the team and riding the high of their stunning victory the team tries to capitalize on the extra media attention to increase their reputation before the actual Xcrawl begins. However as the other teams begin to arrive can the team keep the momentum going in their favor? Tune in and see! Now for this campaign my brother Michael Smith is taking the helm and I am just a player like everyone else and speaking of players: for this game our players are Spencer Taylor playing Glen Mastis the Human Paladin, Jessica Smith playing Antha Pwent Dwarven Cleric, Victor Gonzales playing Big Tex the Dwarven Blood Hunter, Johnathan Boykin playing Occulous the Human Rogue , and I am Ray Smith I will be playing Ewan Wode, the Human Wizard. Our theme is called Big Rock by the Kevin MacLeod. You can find his music at www.incomtech.com and it is licensed under Creative Commons By Attribution 3.0 License. You can find the information in the show notes. Now as always that is enough of this, that’s enough of me, lets get onto the game! http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ http://goodman-games.com/ www.dinnerandagame.net Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/rss/dinnerandagame?auth=M5uADE3AR5maXiPGVgyMFiKLszPIwHLR)

Welcome back to Dinner and a Game as we continue our newest campaign X-Crawl River City Rampage! We are playing Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition however we are playing in a campaign world that was originally created for 3rd edition, then 4th and then finally found its home in Pathfinder. This setting was called X-Crawl! It is actually set in a modern day alternate Earth where fantasy monsters are real and magic exists. Add to this twist the fact that the Roman empire never fell and currently rules most of Europe and what would have been the U.S. and Mexico and you have a pretty interesting setting.
