Our wonderful patron Megan Miller demanded it and so we acquiesced! The guys celebrate Christmas in July by discussing I Believe in Santa, a movie that seems like it could become a serial killer movie at any given moment. They also discuss how this is somehow not a Hallmark movie, Tom being an unhinged psychopath, the flirting with a Christian movie, the token minority characters that only exist to prop up our love interests, a blood feud between an adult and child and much more. Young and daring actor Paxton Booth is making waves in the entertainment industry through his philanthropic pursuits and work as a series regular on Disney Channel’s Coop & Cami Ask The World. Paxton stars alongside castmates Ruby Rose Turner, Dakota Lotus, Albert Tsai, Olivia Sanabia and Rebecca Metz. The show follows a brother-sister duo who make almost all of their decisions — both mundane and madcap — by crowdsourcing opinions from the millions of followers on their online channel ‘Would You Wrather.’ Paxton plays ‘Ollie Wrather,’ the fearless and enthusiastic younger brother of the duo and oftentimes the test-pilot for the more wild stunts (that Paxton carries out himself) of their online show. The popular Disney Channel series recently premiered its second season on October 5th, 2019. Although young, Paxton is no newcomer to gracing TV screens. As a talkative toddler with a love for being in front of the camera, he began his professional acting career at just 2 ½ years old near his hometown of Ventura, CA. He has since made appearances in dozens of national commercials and landed several guest star roles on popular TV shows including NBC’s Emmy-award winning sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine, ABC’s The Real O’Neals, Amazon’s The Romanoffs, TV Land’s Teachers, and ABC’s unscripted series The Toy Box as a judge. While on set, Paxton never shies away from an exciting stunt thrown his way. Although he doesn’t have any formal stunt training, he has carried out several stunts on the set of Coop & Cami with the supervision of a stunt coordinator. Paxton’s fearless nature translates both on and off set, as he has been riding BMX bikes since the age of 3 – without ever learning to ride a bike with training wheels. Racing his BMX bike through skateparks and pump tracks has helped Paxton as an actor by increasing his body awareness. While, his love of automobiles also runs the course of a smaller, plastic track – with his collection of over 1,200 Hot Wheels. Having spent countless hours at car shows and museums, he has developed an immersive knowledge of classic cars, noting details on every single one of his Hot Wheels toys. Paxton has recently served as the youngest judge to-date throughout the ongoing 2019 Hot Wheels Legends Tour – alongside Jay Leno, Adam Carolla, etc. Beyond car museums, Paxton has an admiration for the arts and loves visiting both classic and street art museums. He also has a fascination with less artistically praised ‘50s black and white horror films, such as Plan 9 from Outer Space. Captivated by the horror genre, Paxton deeply admires the directorial style of Tim Burton and dreams of being cast in one of his films. Paxton also loves listening to ‘80s rock music, often jamming out to David Bowie. As a fashionable youngster, he admires Bowie’s standout style and strives to match his confidence of wearing whatever he wants. Paxton often advocates that fashion should not have gender labels. Eventually, he would love to have his own clothing line of gender neutral eccentric styles that can ultimately help prevent bullying for young kids. Outside of Paxton’s passions for art and activities, he loves getting hands-on with philanthropic pursuits. He actively supports charitable causes surrounding animal rescue (such as the two rescue pit bulls he grew up with, and the local LA animal rescue Paw Works), bringing happiness to other children that are ill/underprivileged, and spreading the importance of environmental awareness. He hopes to use his growing platform and voice to speak up for these philanthropic causes, the arts and promoting individuality at any age. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
